Hi all! WE leave next Thursday! :cool1: I am starting to get nervous about the drive through MT and UT. We are coming from Canada and I was wondering if anyone has recently driven that way and how the roads are? I am starting to stress about the mountain driving espcially if there is snow! :scared:

Hopefully others can help you with the driving conditions on

I-15 in Montana and I-15 in Idaho. :goodvibes

In Ogden, Utah, which is 30 miles (48 km) north of Salt Lake City, I-15 does not have any snow.

The elevation in Ogden is 5,200 feet (1.6 km).

Happy trails! :goodvibes

Maybe there's a website that tells road conditions? I know California has the CalTrans website that gives this kind of info so maybe other states might have something similar.

Unless there is a major temperature swing in the next 7-10 days, you'll be fine in Utah. We are experiencing mid to upper 60s and it has been several weeks since our last snowstorm. We're leaving from the Salt Lake City area on Friday and currently are not anticipating bad weather (think happy thoughts).

Thank you! That sets my mind at ease a bit. I've been checking weather.com for a few days but I'm still concerned about MT :scared:

Montana should be ok, heck my friends made it down from there in a Prius last wknd.

Taht site has the weather and road conditions for that state.

There is currently an noaa warning for parts of I-15.
Currently it is near freezing and will warm up to the 40's next week. It is expected to snow for the week off and on.

Sorry for the bad news but hopefully by the time you go through there it will have warmed up during the day so as to make it snow free roads.
