I wonder how often the ride broke down with noone on it? The one at PKI doesn't have a walkway next to it. They could use those portable observation decks like football coaches use to watch their team to cherry pick the people down if it breaks. They have 4 wheels, the coach stands on a platform, and it goes way up high so he can see his team.

It would not be possible to have a cherry picker onsite to get the people off the ride due to the delicate colorful cement that would crack very easily if a heavy duty machine (like a cherry picker). If the ride opens (which it may) there will have to be an alternate safety procedure.

And what's wrong with "Jump, I'll catch you!" (for emerg. egress)?
Can't recall right now how high it is, but then it could be "Jump, they'll catch you (point to others)!
Would be neat to ride. Hope sumthin' comes of it.

A Cherry Picker can't crack a slab of concrete that is at least 4" thick. I've seen them on there numerous times when they re-paint the area. The last time was just before the release of Cat in the Hat. The concrete is just painted with an Enamel based paint.

Agree, they have big tires, and the load is spread out. I almost think they're scared the people would jump out of the cars. They need to enclose them like the PKI version with a cage. Or I wonder if there are certain spots a cherry picker can't get too, where they would need a boom crane.

When the track goes near/over the lagoon, it'd be very tough to manuver the cherry picker's base.
