As a reminder, be careful when you fill up. On my California trip, my card got skimmed at a gas station (it was connected to a Vons supermarket). The tap at the pump wasn't working and the cashier area was closed. I should have found another gas bar, but against my instincts I stuck my card in and filled up.

Got a text the next day while I was at Catalina Island telling me there were unauthorized payments for expensive stuff.

Fortunately, the rest of the trip I filled up (at Costco) with no issues.
