Just curious how many stopovers you make on the way home. I dont mind driving long periods on the way up but like i said before driving home is torture and may want to break up in one or two nights. Can anyone tell me your schedule for driving home and nice stopovers. We figure we will leave Disney around 9:30/10:00 drive for 7 hours that puts us around the Santee SC area for first night, maybe ride another 7 hours second day to Fredericksburg, va and then another 4 1/2 hours to home. Last year we drove to Fayetteville 9 hours and it was too much for one day and then drove 9 hours home the next. May want to take it slow this time.

We usually just do the drive straight through but, the one time we stopped over I think it was in Fredricksburg, VA but, not a 100% sure about the town(a Hampton Inn) the hotel was ok but,not what I would expect from a Hampton Inn. Friends of ours usually stop in Emporia and have never had any complaints about the hotels.

When driving home to NY we usually stop in a place called GlenAllen, VA. We usually stay at the Marriott (sometimes we stay at another hotel that is owned by Marriott, but the name is escaping me right now). It is a great place. There are a lot of places to eat and it isn't too far off of I-95.

Straight through, although one fo these year I am goint to stat at the DVC at Hilton head on the way back to extend the disney experiance a little longer.
