I hate how things sound for poor Lily. Keep calling and bugging the case worker...I would do it every day to show how much you love that little girl! Please talk about her all you want, hear to listen.
I see a lot of your "sister" in parents...they have no business being parents and continue to put themseleves in front of their children.![]()
Good advice, Tammie! And to reiterate, we are definitely hear to listen, Heather! And not repeat.

I got tickled at you saying your DH looked at you funny by busting out laughing at the computer and then not understanding when you explain to him why...
I try to do that, too, with my DH and he just blank stares me. However, I think he is relieved I have dis friends now because I talk to you all and he only has to hear the answers to questions he asks!
I caught what you said about losing a child in 2007, as well. I'm so sorry. I lost a nephew that was the same age as my Nolan and it was hard enough being the aunt. And lost one child (miscarriage) between Erin and Nolan so no matter what happened, hugs to you friend for enduring.

but all in all Damien looks up to him and it's great!
!
I guess I could share....
I can't cook their food too well I am trying to learn, but my mother in law is out of NY for about 6 months a year so I only have 6 months to learn from her and SIL and FIL have no patience to teach me it! So maybe one day because she's not going to be around forever I know that and I would hate to rent a Burmese person just for the food!
warm that they thought of you when thinking of who deserves it! I will read when you write! My younger sister passed away from complications to the heart brought on by muscular dystrophy (something a lot of people in my family suffer from- thank God it's not me and Monk though!)
YAY YAY YAY!!!!! I woke up to happiness when I went with DH to his shop and the boss was there with his wife and while we were chatting Lew took K into the office and told him that it's been 8 years this year and they are going to give him a raise and a bonus--- how unexpected! So maybe we really can go back upstate for one last
before school starts! And the car, I am thinking that we should wait until after we drive down to Disney so that we don't put that many miles on a new car! I mean our car is not that old (only 5 years) and it's still good so we should wait until after Christmas!

and a cake! The goody bags are just going to be plastic popcorn buckets with a box of candy and a bag of microwave popcorn inside and maybe a few cars 2 things like pencils and a coloring book and crayons. It's going to be the weekend after Halloween so I don't want too much candy. Anything else that I should do? What about the games? Should I have games? The goody bags sound okay?
) to help us pick up things in our yard and surrounding neighbors and either tie the stuff down or put it away. During that time I had been running in and out of the house trying to keep Monk busy and less scared so we had the movie "night" (I will post pictures later). They just left- you can leave, but you can't come here. We tied lunch and breakfast into the movie. We had to get Damien out of here because he was so scared with the loud speakers and sirens blaring through the roads from the ambulances, police cars and firetrucks... it's still crazy, but we are trying to get last minute things that we should have done already
. I am hoping to be safe at my grandfathers with Damien later on tonight. Damien's staying at my in laws (in the middle of the island) until we go pick him up later! I know that some of my neighbors are staying but I don't think I am as adventurousness plus if something happens to Damien I want to be able to do anything I can to prevent it and I can't do that if I'm not there with him (although I know that all of the people at that house love him enough to do for him anything they can)! It doesn't matter though where we go on the island it looks like we are going to be hit with the eye of the storm it's just that on the shores (especially the south shore where I live) they are worried about the water surges! I can see that there are really big waves and my neighbor was jokingly saying let's break out the margaritas and go surfing
