We'll be driving from Baltimore to Orlando the week before Easter. We're going to try to get the whole way in one l-o-n-g day, but just in case we don't make it, will we have trouble finding vacancies, say, in Georgia?

Also, we don't check in at ASSp until the following night, so we'll need a place to stay the first night in Orlando (probably near my sister's house in Maitland.) Is everything likely to be booked solid?

I hate to make reservations now, since we don't know exactly how things are going to go...

Not sure how the hotels are on I-95?, but I know I-75 hotels were totally booked when we tried stopping 2 years ago. We now book a hotel that we cancel same day in case we don't decide to stop.

Thanks; that's what I was afraid of. Now I just have to find hotels you can cancel the same day!

When I was a kid we never had to book, and we usually went down Spring Break or Christmas/New Year break, but the last two times we drove, no matter where we tried to stop, it was really difficult to find a room. I would book just in case, then cancel if you don't need it.
