Drive from airport OR Magical Express!?

Hey! Im coming over next year from the UK and I need sone advice. We have a rental car as part of our holiday package that can either be collected from the air port or from Disney. (the swan or dolphin I think?)

Last time we came in 2009 the drive from the airport to the hotel was awfull! There were road works being done and lots of road signes that we had no idea what they ment. Plus getting the hang of driving on 'the other side' of the road! (we did get used to it after a while!) we got so lost (even with a satnav!) not a good start to the holiday, especially after an 8 hour flight and over an hour getting through the airport.

I was wondering how the Magical Express works? Were staying at the Yacht club so was thinking we could get the magical express to Disney and a taxi to pick up our car to avoid the stressful roads at the airport!

Has anyone ever used this service? Any ideas?

Used it twice (or possibly three times cant remember now) and would recommend it especially after a long flight... first time I used it as I was rather "merry" after my first UC expreience

I would take ME. It's easy and will likely take about the same time as a car rental would. If you pick your car up at the Dolphin, you can just walk there from the Yacht club - it would probably be faster than taking a taxi.

Yeah, what Alesia said. The Yacht Club and the Dolphin are on the same small manmade 'lake'. It's a nice, under ten minute stroll.

After a long international flight, driving on the "wrong" side of the road, possibly in heavy traffic is not what I'd want to do. I think you are already leaning toward using the Magical Express, and I can't disagree with your logic.

Since you're coming from the UK, here's some info for you.

3.International Guests flying into Orlando International Airport from another country must follow the U.S. Customs and Border Protection process and claim luggage after disembarking the plane. After completing the process, proceed to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, Level 1. Disney's Magical Express service will recollect your luggage and deliver it directly to your Walt Disney World hotel room within 4 hours after you check in at the resort. Luggage delivery service provided by Disney's Magical Express is available for flights arriving between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm daily. For airport arrivals after 10:00 pm, Guests may collect their luggage at Baggage Claim and transport it with them on the motor coach.
