Drinks other than sodas allowed with DDP???

Hi everyone...I am wondering about drinks allowed on the DDP such as milkshakes and smoothies. The last time my family went was in 2009 and we were allowed to have a milkshake at SciFi and smoothie at Le Cellier as our drink option on the DDP. Is that still the case? Is there a compiled list of verified drinks allowed somewhere on the boards. I thought there used to be but I can't seem to locate it. Any info is appreciated.

It depends. According to the dining plan pdf, fountain drinks such as soda, coffee, tea, lemonade are included. Some of the Disney owned restaurants will allow milkshakes, smoothies (no refills) and virgin cocktails. We've had luck at Whispering Canyon, Le Cellier, Prime Time, some Sigs. The non Disney owned places are far more strict. The easiest thing is to ask at the restaurants you're dining at.

We were also allowed to get a smoothie at Kona as our drink. As PP said, if the server doesn't tell you about other drink options, ask.

We were allowed to get smoothies at the CBR food court. It's annoying, but I guess you just have to ask at every place you go.

most places will tell you what's allowed when explaining your entitlements.
If they don't offer shakes/smoothies, etc, ask if they are allowed as dining plan drink. Some places will allow the specialty drinks as your dessert.

Note: this is on adult dining plan...usually they will not allow the shakes/smoothies etc for kids.But you can always share...

We were allowed smoothies at Wave, specaility drinks at Kona & Coral Reef, Milkshakes at Sci-fi, Le Cellier.
