Drinking in the room?

Is there pop anywhere close to mix with stuff we bring or do we have to walk to the buffets to get pop? Is room service pop reasonably priced?

If you want soda to mix with your drinks, I would go to the free beverage station on deck 9. Bring your own container because the cups they have there are about 8 ounces. I believe there's a fee if you get beverages from room service. Free is much better!

The drink station is on the pool deck, aft. And there is a drink dispenser in the buffet.

Sodas from room service, bars/lounges, and poolside servers have a cost. We paid $1.75 per soda (1 can) plus 15% gratutity.

I would bring a refillable mug. There is also refrig in room that you can store extras.

I would bring the mixers with me in my carry on. It is free to get it at the drink station but can be very inconvenient if you aren't close to that area, especially if you try to use there cups.

Bring several tumblers and a to go drink carrier, fill up 4 glasses with soda and you've now got 4 drinks to last a while

I find that the DCL drink prices are reasonable, and you do have free soda at the self service machines.

To me I like to relax on a cruise and do the effort to me to bring on drink and carry it on and lug it round to your room is too much.

Against the cost of a cruise bring thousands, the cost of a drink served directly and cool to you is worth it.

I get a wine package and balance free drinks and paid drinks without a bill shocker at the end of the cruise.

Do consider hygiene on anything that's used to take and store drinks from the self service machines, if any reusable mug isn't cleaned it can cause stomach bugs. To me that's smother reason to buy it on ship rather than bring my own stuff and keep washing it, I am on vacation.

I can totally understand someone brining their own fine wine on board to have it in room or served in Palo, particularly if it's not served on ship or for a celebration.

But the cost of soda will not break the bank and it's just too much effort and once served goes flat quickly.

It depends on how much soda you drink, and the kind. If you're addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper and it's not available on board, then yes, it's worth it to bring a small, wheeled luggage cart and haul your own.

Soda, coffee, and tea in the dining rooms have no additional cost. Ordering any drinks at a lounge does have a fee.

Soda and juice are provided with meals in the main dining rooms. Often, your servers learn your preference and will anticipate your order -- having a drink to you as you sit down.

Our table had several tea drinkers, one Diet Coke, one Apple juice, and a pineapple juice drinker -- all free. The first night we asked for sweetener for the tea. Every night after they immediately brought sweeteners.

We occasionally splurged and added the special drink or a smoothy for an additional fee.

We also brought a few bottles of favorite wine from home. Usually we would enjoy a glass on the veranda before dinner. We did bring the bottle one night and gladly paid the $20 corking fee.

I agree! A drink here or there, consumed at a leisurely pace..., not really more expensive than buying one at a bar.
