We would like to get a few drinks as we travel around the world. Which ones are your favorites? And where are they? If you have pics, please post! Thanks! :drinking1

Sorry can't post pics for some reason but my favourites are;
the South African red wine flight at Boma
Champagne in EPCOT France
Sangria at Hoop De Doo

but most of all the Strawberry Basil Lemonade (with vodka) at Boma

The most attractive looking ever is the lapu lapu but it nearly killed me it was so strong.

This is a fun thing to do and I've seen a lot of different things people do.

Last year we saw a group that actually made up t-shirts that had a check list of the countries. In addition some of the other drink around the worlders they encountered would sign their shirts with a witty comment or so.

One guy told me he thought starting off in mexico with either a dos Equis or a margarita is the correct way to drink around the world. Yet some others disagree that france and canada are the first places to hit.

When I took my friend for her 21st birthday years ago We liked norway for some wine, or was it the hot guys serving the wine lol.

I say don't miss the rose and crown pub if your into drinking beer. My mom is a huge fan of the frozen margaritas in mexico, especially on a hot day.

Beer and Pretzles in Germany, during not busy restaurant hours sometimes you can get in to germany's the beirgarten for some pretzles, apps and some large beers. or there is an outside area right outside the beer garten

If you are going anytime soon the food and wine fest will be going on, there are some beers and wines at some of the boothes you could try as well.

enjoy!

I'm not sure if you mean "world" as in Epcot showcase or "world" as in WDW:) Many years ago friends and I did a "monorail drinkathon" with its own thread and everything, lol... Hit alot of the resorts/restaurants we wouldn't normally try out, starting with the Poly where we dropped the kids off at Neverland, had a drink at Ohanas (Lapu Lapu) and hopped on the monorail for quite a night:thumbsup2

yes we've done this we started in the rose and crown, then headed to mexcio for the margarita's which are my favorite, trouble is i'm such a lightweight i don't get much futher, than that, ::laughing: so next time i will have to start somewhere esle, :rotfl2:

My son and I just did this a week ago yesterday. We decided we would alternate countries, then doubled back to get the ones we missed. This way we had more time to saunter and consume the beverage we'd bought, until ready for the next one. We quickly decided to share drinks, though, as it was so hot, we didn't want to get sick or wasted. We both loved the Sultan's Colada in Morocco, the Welsh Dragon, in Britain, and I loved the Grand Marnier Slushie in France (tastes like a cremesicle!). FYI- It cost about $90 to get a drink at each country. It was fun, though, and we got so many compliments on our "drinking around the World" shirts that we'd made (courtesy of some of the DIS designers), and were even asked if we had any extra shirts available!

I love this advice. Skipping every other country and then double backing is perfect. Other wise you drink to much before the end and don't have enough walking time to consume your drink. Thank you for this!

Be sure to have a Peach Snap at the Joy of Tea stand in China. Delicious!

I tried to do this but I didn't get far because I started feeling bad that I was the only one having fun DH doesn't drink so he will sit and wait for me to be done with the drink. So I only had 3 drinks but my favorite was the Grand Marnier Slushie.

I LOVE the Grand Marnier Slushie from France....my DH bought me one in March (had no idea what it was, but thought I would like it....and boy was he right), it is like drinking a dreamcicle :cloud9:. I am counting down the days until I can get another one. :cool1:

I love the one Reisling in Germany. I do have a picture of the label & I'll try to post it but it's called Gracheer Himmelreich Reisling Spatlese. It's sweet.

The Maytag Martini at Blue Zoo. (Level Vodka and 3 Maytag blue cheese stuffed olives)

An Irish Car Bomb at the Rose and Crown. (A pint of Guinness with a shot of Jameson’s floated on top of Bailey’s Irish Cream in a shot glass, and the shot glass is then dropped into the stout. Once mixed, the drink must be consumed quickly because it will curdle.)

The Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian - Rum drink served in a real pineapple. Overpriced, but it is good.

The Blue Glowtini also at the Polynesian - Citrus Vodka, Blue Curacao Peach Schnapps, sour mix and pineapple juice. It also comes with a Blue Glow Cube.

The 1 liter dark beer at Biergarten in Germany.

A Don Julio Anjeo Margarita in Mexico. - I hate the food here, but that margaritas are good. I look forward to the new Margarita bar so I do not have to eat in Mexico.

Free Sam Adams samples at the History of beer in Epcot. - MMM Free Beer during the F&W festival.

The Grey Goose Slushie is so awesome! Definitely my favorite! Close second is a glass of Rosa Regala in Italy.

I LOVED the Welsh Dragon, at the Rose & Crown. It comes in a plastic souvenir glass.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

What is in both of these?

English Rose - Beefeater Gin, Apricot Brandy, Vermouth, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice and Cranberry Juice

Welsh Dragon: Peach schnapps, Melon liqueur, créme de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice
