So to take advantage of this, do I need to buy the drinks at the sail away party? Or can I get the souvenir cup later in the cruise too?

Where is a good place to get the drink of the day? We would rather not get a watered down slurpie type drink(we will be on the the fantasy). Is the souvenir cup glass like the beer mug or plastic?

They are plastic. Most of the bars will have it, especially near the pool. They are usually normal drinks, like pina colada, margarita, but they may have a little twist. Some are frozen and some aren't.

I thought the price was the same, but the special glass (plastic cup) held more liquid.

In an earlier thread somebody said they actually took the time to use a regular cup and fill the plastic hurricane glass back at their stateroom and it was the same size. The perceived size difference is an optical delusion according to them. More ice doesn't necessarily mean more drink.
