Dresses and skirts in the parks?

Thanks Ladies! I think I'll be packing the sundresses and skirts afterall.

I bring dresses for my DD but for me..well, I have chub rub. If I wear a skirt the friction will cause flames to shoot out from under my skirt. I will then be unable to walk normally. I will look like I am permanently riding a horse. Oh- and I am no equestrian btw. So I would say that no, I do not wear skirts or dresses unless there is little walking involved.

Another vote for skirts/sundresses! In fact, this summer I'm wearing nothing but. So much cooler and I feel like I look better when I go out. :hippie:

I agree, I always bring along atleast 2 of the long (to the knee or mid shin/ankle length) THIN material skirts. They are every comfy and look very nice with a tank top, to me its a very relaxed vacation look that looks really appropriate for the parks and the look says "classy" to me:thumbsup2 Im a big fan of the skorts too!

Trust me I know the feeling. I buy lightweight bike shorts under the skirts and this solves the problem. Either that or dare I say a spanx-like short under the skirt helps so much. That's the only way I can wear the skirts out in public without starting a fire! :rolleyes1

I have only ever worn skirts to theme Parks. I, too, wear shorts underneath for dignity and to stop too much friction burn. I wear what we call over here 'Magic Knickers' (skin coloured, bike-like shorts that hold you in in all the right places).

I even wear skirts on coasters like the Hulk (oops..is that a dirty word over here?) because no-one can see anything anyway because I now tend to tuck my skirt in so it doesn't flap and show way too much off. I do this because, once I was on ToT with an ankle length white skirt that was very billow-y. As soon as it dropped the skirt kept fluffing up and I had to hold it down to keep my dignity.

All my skirts are to the knee or longer, so there is never a problem of flashing when getting on or off a ride.
