I have seen parents dress the kids worse at Halloween. Does that mean the child should be taken out of the home NO

I agree with the father. The sexualizing of young children is sickening, and this is only one example.

Those pageants are sickening. I don't blame this father at all. No way in Hades I would ever put my daughter in one of those things and no way in Hades I would consider marrying a woman who would. People need to be a bit more picky about who they reproduce with in my opinion.
All those pageants are is fodder for the pedophiles of the world and a bunch of dumpy housewives with no real self worth or societal contribution who try to live through their children (again in my opinion).

I have seen the way this little 4 year old was dressed and I totally agree with the father. It is different if it is a Halloween costume.
This little 4 year old was strutting her stuff in a most suggestive way.
It will be interesting to see what the court decides on this case and the impact it will have on new claims by non custodial parents.
Why would any parent approve of this?
IMHO, the mom made a very poor decision by allowing her 4 year old daughter to add padding to her bottom and heavily padded bra, never mind the make up and outfit itself. But it does seem that the more outrageous and inappropriately sexual the better for a win?? This is not a playtime dress up in the privacy of their own home (and thatd be another discussion) rather IMHO, it was a choice to parade her minor child around a stage and try to exploit her to win a prize/$.....sad and not cute to me.
I dont think she should lose custody for this one incident/choice but if there is any type of pattern to this "pageantry lifestyle"...yeah, she needs a reality check that it is not in the best interest of her minor child....
People need to be a bit more picky about who they reproduce with in my opinion.
The world would be a better place if this happened.
I hate those pageants and think the parents who put their children on the pageant circle have some mental health issues. These poor little girls are wearing more makeup at 3 and 4 years old than I have ever worn in my life. Hair extensions, tanning, false eyelashes and don't even get me started on the costumes. I can understand why the father does not want to support this in any way.
However, this can be a slippery slope. Will this effect child athletes, actors, singers? What pushes an activity from dedicated to unhealthy? And do the courts have the right to decide that?
