Dress code for parks

They gave you a refund just like that? Not a bad idea. I think next time I go to WDW, I'll wear a tube top on the last day. Maybe being a man wearing a tube top, they'd refuse me at the gate and I could lobby to get my vacation refunded. Free WDW vacation!

This is noteworthy. Ok ladies, the idea is to wear a revealing tube top on the last day of your trip to get a free ride for your family! WooHoo!!!!

Who is going to Disney soon? You can be the first of us to try and get a free t-shirt! Just wear the smallest top you can find, and see if it gets you a free top. Then the rest of us will know it works, and we can all get free tees!!!:woohoo:

Maybe I should go post this on the budget board.

I will admit that I haven't read this entire thread, but IMHO not all tube tops (or folks wearing tube tops) are equal. I watched two women turned away from MGM several months ago. They were wearing tube tops. I wasn't so much a problem that they were tube tops. The problem was that the tube tops were much to small for what they were attempting to cover. I, personally, could not believe that these women thought that they were appropriately covered. They were both extremely large ladies and the tops they were wearing looked to me like they would have made better belts than tops. Then again, I see ladies all the time who look fine in their tube tops. The CMs have to use their judgement based on guidelines Disney gives them. I'm sure some of them take it further than others, but people really push the limits. I saw a woman in a see-through black shirt attempting to enter Epcot last year. She wasn't wearing anything under the shirt! :scared1: She didn't make it to the turnstile. Security stopped her and turned her away.

All kidding aside, this is a problem I have seen not only on the boards, but first hand in the parks. It's over sensitive park guests. Now, I am speaking generally here and do not intend to trivialize your wife's feelings or situation. However, people feel that since they pay the outragious amounts of money that they do for a Disney vacation, they are entitled to anything, and that the slightest upset is worthy of a full refund. I can't tell you how many times I have seen park guests get completely bent out of shape over the smallest matters, matters which wouldn't have caused them to blink an eye anywhere else in the "real world."

Isn't that the truth!! We were waiting at Guest Services once to get our seasonal passes and got stuck behind a group of three people that were ranting and raving about their monorail experience. Evidently they missed one monorail so had they had to wait for the next. They waited in front of the monorail gate that is designated for wheelchairs and then got their panties in a bunch when they were asked to step aside so the CM could assist the wheelchair onto the monorail. And according to them because of the wheelchair there wasn't room for all of them and they had to wait for yet another monorail. Some people will B&M over anything!

Hmmm....... I have a few tube tops in my closet from days long ago...... Most in neon colors. I even have matching knit mini skirts.

Oh now hold on a second, panties in a bunch is DEFINITELY against the dress code!!! They should have been removed just for that!!!! lol ;)
