Could someone please tell me what the dress code is at Narcoose's and California Grill?

We usually dress up a bit but business casual is usually the norm. Having said that others will surely chime in that pretty much anything is acceptable and just be neat and presentable.

Depends if your going to just eat food or have a dining experience.

Dress shorts, jeans and tee shirts are permitted. The only things they say are not permitted are pool wear, torn clothing and hats and tank tops for men. But we have posters that have seen pool wear and torn clothing and men in hats and tanks in signature restaurants, so who knows.

I was on the DxDDP this past May and chose to dine in a signature restaurant every night. I ate at: California Grill, Narcoosee, Citricos, Jiko, Artist Point, Flying Fish, and Yatchsman. I wore capris and a nice top and felt fine everywhere, except Narcoosee. I swear every woman in there that night was wearing a dress or nice pants. Everwhere else, I saw a wide variety of nice dresses, pants, capris, and shorts. Some people at Jikos, California Grill, Yatchsman, and Flying Fish looked like they had just come directly from the parks in their shorts and t shirts.

About 1 1/2 years ago I made a point of going back to my resort to shower and changed into some nice pants and top for my Artist Point dinner. The lady checking in ahead of me was wearing the exact same outfit I had worn to the parks that day (tan shorts and an Eyeore T, with flip flops). Her son was wearing flowered board shorts and flip flops. Nothing was said to them.:confused3

We are going back to Narcoosee in early Sept and this time my mom and I are wearing thin, cool, jersey dresses and my husband will be in kacki pants and buttoned up, collared shirt.

It's business casual and I've never seen it enforced - we try to conform to the standards, but depending on circumstances sometimes that's not feasible. Although we've never eaten there, I understand V&A does enforce the dress codes they've established.

. . . It's business casual and I've never seen it enforced . . .

1) Pretty much on the mark.
2) It is a shame.
3) Pay a lot of money for a good meal and nice atmosphere.
4) Then have rag-bag dressed people.

NOTE: Disney managers will not enforce the dress code. The new mantra is "Every guest deserves their best WDW vacation ever." To tell someone they cannot do something is against this rule. This includes dressing properly for dinner. At non-signature-restaurants you can expect "park dress", but signature restaurants are different.

Yes, at Yachtsmen and CG, we have seen it all so to speak. To me, part of the experience of fine dining is dressing in something that doesn't look like what you would wear to a spring break beach bash.

Its interesting that Disney doesn't want to damper anyone's experience by making them leave in their cutoff's or swimshorts at a fine dining establishment. They have no problem refusing someone that magical experience if they don't have the proper ticket to get in or if they have decided its time to cut off the character line. Its okay by them to turn away little Susie for her autograph if Snow White needs a potty break, but if little Susie's dad wants to show up at Narcoose's in his tank top and cut off's, its fine as long as he can pay the bill!

Other than V&A the dress code is NOT enforced. We are frequent diners at the signature restaurants (usually Jiko, AP, or Citricos), and although there is a sign right at the check-in desk indicating the code, I have seen people in clear violation who have never been turned away. It's basically do your own thing!

It's Disney's business casual which isn't the business worlds definitely of business casual.

These are the only things not permitted:
NOT PERMITTED: Tank tops, swim suits or swim cover ups, hats for gentlemen, cut offs or clothing with rips/tears are not allowed. T-shirts with offensive language/graphics will also not be permitted.
