can someone please tell me if there is a dress code for these two places and if so what it is. Can you wear shorts/golf shirt? Thanks

Here you go...

Men - Dress pants, jeans or dress shorts and a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt with collar is required. (Jackets optional.)

Women - Jeans, skirts or dress shorts and blouse, sweater or dress is required.

NOT PERMITTED: Tank tops, swim suits or swim cover ups, hats for gentlemen, cut offs or clothing with rips/tears are not allowed. T-shirts with offensive language/graphics will also not be permitted.

Hope this helps. Flying Fish is a great choice

Happy Planning.

If you do a search for dress code and get lots of information. The one thing I can tell you is that a lot of Disney restaurants don't actively inforce them (unfortunately). However, last time I was at FF they refused service to a girl in ripped cut offs and asked a gentleman to remove his hat.

Way to go FF!

Shorts and a golf shirt are great for either. They say dress code is resort casual, which basically means no swimwear or tanktops.

Enjoy!

I must second that 'way to go FF'. Why have a dress code if it isn't enforced??

I was at Citrico's 2 years ago, and I wore khaki shorts and a polo shirt and it was fine. I would have worn something nicer if it wasn't the dead heat of the summer and we were going right back out after dinner. I didn't feel underdressed but there were some people around me wearing sport coats. My wife wore a skirt with a dressier top.

Here's the dress code at Citrico's:

It's the same at Flying Fish and all other Signature spots. Notice it says "Guidelines". Nothing on that list is required. Unless you are wearing something that is actually prohibited, you can get in.
And I should add that I can hardly remember the last time I saw a man in a sport coat at a Disney Signature restaurant.

At Citrico's, my dh and I both wore khaki shorts and nicer shirts. I would have preferred to wear something nicer, but it was a last minute decision (called a few hours before from the MK) to go. There were people there in dresses and suits (business convention), a family in khakis and capris, and also people in tank tops and shorts!

It appars most of the dress codes are not inforces, however I think it is in place to give Disney the leverage to ask a guest to remove a hat, change a shirt, etc. when it is over the top. Ovearll as long as you follow the basic rules people follow when they go out you will have no issues.

Dress codes are not enforced other than no swim suits and no tank tops on men. Wear what you want.

Anytime I eat at one of the signature restaurants I wear nice capris and a nice top.
