We will be sailing with my cousin who has 7 1/2 y.o. twins, Abby and Trent. My cousin is the kind of person who takes dress code seriously. She has rented the little man a tux for formal night!

We need some clarification for the more informal nights. The twins have several "adorable matching outfits" which are, for Trent, a shirt and tropical print shorts which match his sister's dress. Can Trent wear these shorts to dinner? Or will he be out of the dress code?

Thanks, Kathleen

I think he will be fine and look adorable! That is if he is even willing to eat dinner with all of you once he gets in the kids club!

Here is what Disney says about the dress code for children:
Are children expected to follow the same dress code as adults?
Each parent or guardian would be the best judge of what attire is appropriate for our youngest cruisers. Guests who are age 13 or older would probably be most comfortable wearing attire similar to what is recommended above for all the ship's passengers.
To me, this seems to be Disney's polite way of saying that the stated dress code applies to people over 13, and they don't necessarily expect children under 13 to follow the exact same guidelines.

They'll be fine. My grandsons ages 9 & 10, wore khaki shorts to dinner when we cruised last summer.
