is there any perk to using them to book a Disney world vacation like there is for a Disney cruise?

When you book through them, are you still able to book your own dining reservations or does it have to be done through them?

No matter who books that sort of thing you can always do your own dining reservations. It's only things like payment and changing room types or resorts that has to be done by the TA.

One big perk of a TA for theme park packages is that they are watching the pricing every day, and will automatically apply a price change that works in your favor. My TA (not with Dreams, but still) saved me $700 on a Universal trip like that.

I think another perk is the onboard credit. Depending on the total cost of the itinerary, Dream Unlimited offers OBC up to $1,000....but I think most travel agents offer OBC.

Great question, we've always used Dreams Unlimited for our Disney cruises but never for our WDW vacations...hmm..
