Thanks!

We have used DU three times. Our agent was Barbara and she always does a great job. She let us know of better prices and put up with our changes.
Our second trip we had lots of problems with our rooms. She took care of everything and made a trip from HE.... into a great vacation. We our going again at Easter and will be using DU again. Hope this helps alittle.

I've been very happy with Carla at Magic For Less so far. My first reservation was confusing for anyone and she made it sound simple - I was having 3 different ressies so we would only use DDP for a few days that week. She has stayed on top of things and when the package was announced in August, she upgraded us and got in touch with us at 9:30 AM to see if that is what we wanted. Hopefully, everything else will go smoothly from them as well. I expect our travel documents in a couple of weeks.

We've used Sue Ellen at DU multiple times with great success/results.

In fact, we have three standing reservations with her now. :thumbsup2

We have used Deb at The Magic for Less several times. She is super quick to respond - when the disney visa/free dining promo came out, we had communicated within an hour of me getting the email! I don't know about DU, but I really like how MFL will send you information emails about your resort, special events, etc. They also send you a great spreadsheet with your ADR's, parade times, EMH's, etc for the dates of your trip.

Another "vote" for Deb at The Magic For Less. She was so great in helping us with 2 trips. Very quick to answer emails. She helped my DH plan a surprise specialty cruise for our 10th anniversary. Lots of "extra" information on tours, etc. Made the planning of our trips so much easier.

We love Shirley at DU...have used her multiple times and we have had terrific experiences with her. Even when I change my mind, over and over, as to the resort I want to stay at.

I am currently booked with Debbie at DU.I was really nervous at first as i live in the Uk (so all via email),also as i am a bit of a control freak when it comes to Disney!!!
So far everything has been really easy and i feel relaxed knowing that Debbie will apply any available discounts for me.Also she has replied to any silly questions i have really quickly.I plan to book all my trips with Debbie from now on -not bad for a control freak :thumbsup2

Our first trip we used Magic For Less, and they were great. They didn't call for the Princess breakfasts at the time though (that may or may not have changed).

For our 2nd trip, I switched to DU because they do call for all ADRs, and because they run these boards.

Barb was wonderful, even though we added a 2nd room, and changed ADRs around at less than a month away because my parents decided to join us at the last minute.

Barb took care of our 3rd trip (which was last month), and we have a Dec. trip for 3 families coming up. She just had to deal with a major problem concerning an error on our reservation, and she was very persistant.

Total control freak/OCD trip planner checking in- we use Carole from DU, and she is great. Puts up with all my craziness, and we are a group of 12, with me as the sole planner and an aunt who likes to ask silly questions too...never had a problem before when using them. Have never used anyone else.

Ditto for us. In fact she even made my US/IOA arrangements for me :)

Booked 2 trips with Anne at DU, and will be booking a third for March. We have been very happy with them (DU).

I have vowed to never do any Disney planning on my own ever again! (And I am one of those type-A, control freak, planners!) I use DU in part because they are affiliated with the DIS, but also because their service is great. Prices don't vary because they are actually Disney's prices, not the TA's prices. What does vary is the level of service.

One of DUs best services is that they make ADRs for you. My time zone is 5-6 hours behind FL, so anytime I REALLY wanted to eat somewhere or try to get a discount on a room, I would literally have to either stay up, or wake up, at 1 or 2 a.m. Now, I don't have to do that since DU will do it for me.

They also check discounts for you, and if you are sent a discount code even after you already made a reservation, they will check on it for you and apply it if it's available. That's happened to me several times, and DU has always checked on it and was successful in getting me the discount.

I also prefer working via e-mail since I can do it at my convenience. While I used to enjoy talking with some of the CMs making ADRs and hotel ressies, some of them used to frustrate me because their level of knowledge was lacking. With DU, I feel that I am still in control of the planning, but that I have an "assistant" who makes the calls for me.

I guess the problems with your rooms were once you checked in. If so did you call DU and they fixed things---or was it all in the reservation stage when the problems occured? Just curious. I have recommended them to a friend who is putting a trip together for 4 families and this was one of their questions. So thanks for the input.

I have booked two previous trips with DU and have two future trips booked with them. Cathy is our agent, and she is wonderful. I recently had to go through some messy stuff with a reservation that I had made for a company retreat, and Cathy made it so easy and put me at ease the entire time. :thumbsup2

I use neither, I got quotes from both of these home internet agencies and then I went to AAA Auto Club Travel Agency and I got a much better deal being a AAA Member and the savings was awesome, between these two home based internet agencies I saved over $270.00 per room on my trip by going thru AAA. You also do not have to be a AAA Member to use the agency, so if I were you, go to a AAA Agency and you will be amazed of the savings. I just don't trust a internet company since I and my husband got burned once.

Wow - this is actually the first time I have heard of someone getting a better rate from AAA. I've also read quite a few horror stories about the TA's at AAA because they are not Disney Specialist TA's, like all those at DU and other Disney Travel Agencies.

I've used Cathy at DU since our first family trip in 2002 (DH's coworker told him about Cathy and DU). We've been hooked ever since, and I've never had a problem. DU agents make your ADR's, change them (sometimes once or twice  ) answer a myriad of questions patiently, reserve more than 1 room if need be (my parents and in-laws came in 2003), check for discounts and apply them if they can, and organize everything into a great printable itinerary with all show and parade times, ADR times and confirmation #'s and some good suggestions, if you need them.

I don't ever hesitate to recommend DU and Cathy to anyone and everyone.

BINGO - this is why we use DU - if you like these boards you can help insure they are around by supporting the sponsers of these boards!
