Dreams Do Come True in Port Orleans. ~~*The End! Final Thoughts. 2/25 Pg. 41*~~

I love your pins! You found some really cute ones. Your coworker is going to have quite a collection as well. I understand how you were feeling about wanting to be home. I always feel like when my vacation is over, I want to be home NOW.

Glad to know that they have "normal" food at Yak and Yeti... that way I can get my family there next summer!

Sorry you missed Mark so much and it dampened this day and the trip.

Love all the pins, especially the Tiana one. I also am glad you met so many new characters.

Great update! How cool you got to meet all those different characters. I don't think I've ever seen Miss Bunny. She's adorable!

Love the pins too, especially that Princess Tiana one. I may have to add that to my list for April.

I can't believe that Jerry Springer is still on! :rotfl2:

Oh yeah....its still on and its take a really special person to watch it! :rotfl:

I'll never forget the first time I left Nick alone at home when he was sick. He actually called me at work to tell me he had "discovered" Jerry Springer. :scared1:

I love all your pins! I think the TSM FP one is my favorite.

I absolutely love EE, but the screams coming from it unnerve me a little bit, too! I don't know if I could ever do ITTBAB. I'm afraid of most bugs and not knowing what to expect, or when to expect it, would make it much, much worse. I kind of want to try it sometime just to say I have, but I am afraid I'd be mistaken as one of the screaming children.

I wanted to get a frozen chai so badly on this trip, but I think I would have froze. I laughed when you said it tasted like Christmas, because the vanilla chai from Dunkin Donuts tastes like Christmas in a cup to me! :goodvibes

I would have chickened out on EE too.

What did you get from Wolfgangs?

Your last day kinda mirrors mine in some ways......

I love AK.

I'm gonna have to try Yak and Yeti. you're review makes it sound good.

The grasshopper is fixed in ITTBAB.

Is that light fixture in Yak and Yeti?

Okay....Jackie has me cracking up :rotfl2: first about her Jerry Springer southern style comment and then telling you that the screaming by EE was a soundtrack :lmao: hahahhhaha!
Wow you really scored with the character meets!! I love your Brer Rabbit pictures....didn't you just want to belt out Zip a dee Zoo dah!! Jiminy is so cute too!
YandY looks really good....I have looked at the menu over and over and just eh...but both of your entrees I would definitely try....just sorry that you missed Jiko but there is always next time ;)
SSR is such a pretty resort but there is no way I am ever staying there again without a car....and since I don't rent a car :lmao: It is really pretty though but maybe I am just not into it because I live in Upstate NY? :rotfl2:

Tracy

Frozen Chai???? I swear I find all my snack tips on your TRs :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Gorgeous view from Saratoga Springs!!! Wish you could have stayed there longer!

Glad you didn't make Jen eat the wontons alone. A true friend wouldn't do that ;)

aw, last days always make me sad. Happy but sad. Bittersweet.

I think it's good you skipped EE given your prior days experience and am just in awe of all the characters...AGAIN!

SSR looks really pretty in your pictures and I'm glad you had such a lovely lunch at Y&Y!

Ack! We're on your last day already??? What a lovely relaxed morning. The view from your balcony is awesome. I love the pic of the chair in the sunshine... how I would love to settle in there with a book this morning.

I think Yak and Yeti is going on my list! Looks great. I would have never thought of Y&Y as a potential destination in the quest for the World's most perfect cheeseburger!

Don't blame you for not riding EE. I'm still too chicken too. :sad2:

Sorry you weren't feeling well and canceled Jiko. But there's always next time. And WPE is always yummy.

I am envious that you were ready to go home. I'm not sure I've ever been ready!

So glad to hear you enjoyed Yak and Yeti so much! I've been wanting to try it so badly since it opened, but it just hasn't happened. Next trip! :thumbsup2

I can understand missing Marc. I'm really hoping Chuck can go with me in January. While I think there are things I would enjoy about a solo trip (I love traveling alone), being at Disney without my family would just feel weird and make me homesick.

Wow, what a fantastic day! Yak & Yeti, Finding Nemo, Everest (well, for Jen at least), and so many fantastic characters meets. I'm really hoping to find Miss Bunny next time I'm at AK. Nice to see some Bambi characters in the parks again.

I have so much to say I want to remember it all! :lmao:

I love your photos from Saratoga Springs. It definitely makes me interested in staying there, it looks absolutely beautiful.

It looks like you got some really rare character meets, and that is too cool! I have never seen Miss Bunny, that's really amazing. I'm so glad you had a good meal at Yak and Yeti, another place I am dying to try and have never been able to get a ressie for.

I just wanted to mention, if I haven't before, that I think you and Jen look awesome in your shirts, and I'm really glad that I picked those colors. Nice and bright and so much fun! :goodvibes
Saratoga was very beautiful and relaxing but personally, I don't think I'd stay there without a car. It's HUGE.

I loved our shirts, they were very pretty!

Looks like you had a few great days, the rude woman notwithstanding. Jen is a much better person than me, because I would have said something, or at least elbowed her - unintentionally of course.
Hehehe, elbowing would have been good!

I love your pins! You found some really cute ones. Your coworker is going to have quite a collection as well. I understand how you were feeling about wanting to be home. I always feel like when my vacation is over, I want to be home NOW.
I love my pins too. I have no idea where I'm going to hang them in the new apartment but I love looking at them. They make me happy. My coworker does have quite the collection, I've gotten her addicted to pins!

Glad to know that they have "normal" food at Yak and Yeti... that way I can get my family there next summer!

Sorry you missed Mark so much and it dampened this day and the trip.

Love all the pins, especially the Tiana one. I also am glad you met so many new characters.
They do! I had never seen the burger on the menu before and it was probably the best burger that I have ever eaten. I know that when Marc & I go to Disney again we are going to Y&Y and we are going to SPLIT the burger. :rotfl:

Great update! How cool you got to meet all those different characters. I don't think I've ever seen Miss Bunny. She's adorable!

I'll never forget the first time I left Nick alone at home when he was sick. He actually called me at work to tell me he had "discovered" Jerry Springer. :scared1:
Hehehe, I catch my Dad watching it sometimes. :rotfl2:

I love all your pins! I think the TSM FP one is my favorite.

I was happy to find the TSM FP one. I also have in my collection all of the "prizes" I have won from TSM. I had the bunny already but I found the cat and beaver while trading.

If you expect the worst on ITTBAB then I think you'd be fine.

I would have chickened out on EE too.

What did you get from Wolfgangs?
Duh! I forgot to say. I had the bbq chicken quesadilla again and I think I tried mashed potatoes too.

Your last day kinda mirrors mine in some ways......

I love AK.

I'm gonna have to try Yak and Yeti. you're review makes it sound good.

The grasshopper is fixed in ITTBAB.

Is that light fixture in Yak and Yeti?
Y&Y was so goooood!! Yes, it is a light fixture.

Okay....Jackie has me cracking up :rotfl2: first about her Jerry Springer southern style comment and then telling you that the screaming by EE was a soundtrack :lmao: hahahhhaha!

:rotfl2: Yes, that would have been very mean of me!

aw, last days always make me sad. Happy but sad. Bittersweet.

SSR looks really pretty in your pictures and I'm glad you had such a lovely lunch at Y&Y!
Yes, last days are bittersweet but I was ready to go home. We did have a really good character mojo this trip, it was awesome!

I can't believe you are already up to your last day. I have been reading everything at work and I have missed all the pretty pictures! The frozen chai sounds yummy - like something I must try.

I can't wait to read about Jiko. I am really having second thoughts that I didn't make an ADR there. I have one at Yak n Yeti instead. Probably a mistake, but I want to try them all - Yak n Yeti, Saana, and Jiko. So many ADR's - so little time.

Totally just finding your TR. I am subscribing!
Thanks for joining in! :goodvibes

So sorry to hear about the rude lady! People never cease to amaze me. I am glad that you did not let it get you down and enjoyed the rest of the day.

:thumbsup2 Wishes and Dumbo--truly magical. We always hit Dumbo first thing with DS but I have always wanted to do it at night.

Look forward to the next update!

Erika
I hear ya. People...PFFFT!

Dumbo at night was so awesome, I loved it! It was such a magical moment.

I wish your report was not almost over!! You had some great character photos in that last post. Too bad about missing Jiko- there is always next time. That view from your room was just awesome, too!!!

Oh, last day - sad!! :sad1:

I have heard great things about Yak and Yeti - that is on my list to try next time. It looked way yummy!!!

I loved all of your souveniers!! I haven't gotten into pin trading YET...I just know when I do, it's game over.

Can't wait to read about the end of your trip!!

I know I haven't finished replies but I'm hoping to get this Trip Report finished by this weekend.

Jen was up pretty early to head to Magic Kingdom. I was a little sad that I had decided to stay back but I didn't want to worry about getting back in time for Magical Express to pick me up.

Jen & I said our goodbyes and she headed to Magic Kingdom. I'll let her tell you about her time there.

I had a great morning at MK! I was right up at the entrance and ready to head to Space Mountain! I was really looking forward to seeing how the ride had changed since the refurb! I love the new queue so much fun! The ride was great, but I have to tell you I was in the very front car which freaked me out a bit and it was DARK in there...you couldn't see a thing! It was quite thrilling, but once was enough for me!

I decided I needed a mission for my morning at MK. So I set myself 3 goals to get a new picture of something in MK I have never taken a picture of before, meet 1 old and 1 new character, and do one new thing!

So how did I do...well the first one was the hardest, I mean what haven't I taken a photo of at Disney that I'm allowed to take a photo of... and then it dawned on me and I caved. Yes, I finally took my camera into the Haunted Mansion with me...but only as far as the stretching room! But hey, its a new picture so check that one off!

Meet 1 new and 1 old character...check....I ran into Lady Tremaine and her lovely daughters! I made sure to ask how the flute and singing lessons were going! They said they were practicing and I told them as a teacher I was happy to hear that! They asked what type of teacher I was and I said a biology teacher! Well a few animal noises and some acting later...I was finally got a group picture of them LOL!!

Jan2010DisneyLastDay094.jpg

Then I was on my mission to find a new character so off to Fronteirland and Adventureland! It would be in Adventureland where I would find a pretty Hawaiian and her mischevious alien!! WOOT Lilo and Stitch!!!

Jan2010DisneyLastDay154.jpg

Check for Mission 2

Lastly mission 3, as far as doing something new I actually did 2 new things! First I decided to watch the stage show! It was very cute and considering Sleeping Beauty is my all time favorite movie I enjoyed Malificent's part in it and seeing both Aurora and Prince Phillip!

Jan2010DisneyLastDay120.jpg

The other new thing actually happened completely by surprise! I knew I had to go buy some fudge before leaving so my last stop was going to be the Main St. Confectionary! As I was walking in I heard singing, some very very good singing....and then I turned and looked and who was before me...The Dapper Dans!! They were just wrapping up, but I was so excited to hear them and talk to them! I was thrilled to pieces, they asked if I knew who they were...DUH!! And joked around with me and then even posed for a picture for me! WOOT! I was so happy what a way to end my trip!

Jan2010DisneyLastDay172.jpg

While she was at MK, I had a leisurely morning in our room. I packed up, watched TV, sat on our balcony and before too long I had bell services come pick me and my luggage up. I do have to say it is awesome that they will pick YOU and your luggage. I wasn't looking forward to trekking back up to the Main Building.

I went and had some lunch and just sat around the SSR lobby and a bench outside reading until it was time to catch ME. The ride to the airport was uneventful. The flight was a little interesting because we had a person with Tourette's on our plane. I was a little nervous about the people grumbling about it when we first boarded but when the flight attendants didn't react everyone seemed to simmer down and realize what was going on with the man.

I was very happy to land and see Marc. Home Sweet Home!

Coming up...

Final Thoughts!
