Dreams come true...WDW 8/30-9/16

Awwww, thanks for sharing the picture of your little guy! It's amazing how clear ultrasound pictures are now - the pictures of my kids were fuzzy little blobs

Day 13...Dinner at Narcoosee's...YUM!

As I said, the views walking in were stunning. As we waited for our table I kept my fingers crossed that we would have a window side table. And low and behold...WE DID!!! Ahhhh the view was priceless. I HIGHLY recommend Narcoosee's for a romantic dinner (or even a picturesque family one). As we sat down I envisioned the fireworks that would go off later that night. The perfect vantage point we had. The beauty of the fireworks that would reflect off of the still waters...

And then my stomach grumbled and I forgot all about the views yet to come and started in on viewing my menu. Oh the delights and the hard choices!! ;) Along with being utterly amazing (by way of delicious looking choices) it was also personalized!! What a sweet surprise!!

A very thoughtful extra on the part of the GF concierge staff. :cloud9:

I chose to start off with the crab cakes. They were delicious (although I was a bigger fan of the Kona crab cakes). Dh chose to start with the Romaine Hearts (ie Caesar Salad). He said it was tasty as well. Neither of us finished our appetizer (we wanted to save room for our main courses).

Speaking of main courses, I chose the surf and turf which was grilled filet mignon and butter poached lobster tail, potato gratin and green peppercorn brandy sauce...OH DELIGHTFUL! SO VERY GOOD! The lobster was so moist. The filet was so tender. The potatoes were so creamy. It was a meal fit for a king (or one very picky pregnant woman).

Dh got the grilled filet mignon which came with the potato gratin and green peppercorn brandy sauce...let me just say he throughly enjoyed it!

As the sun started to drop outside I once again turned my attention to the windows...and AHHHHHHHHHHHH I learned the hard way that you don't want to plan on watching the fireworks from Narcoosee's. The reason you ask? Your view is blocked by a line of rear ends lining up on the deck right outside the window. Humans make a mighty fine wall. :rolleyes1

Lucky for me, I had an easy on the eyes dh to stare at and although I love Wishes, I had already seen them this vacation and every once in a while it's nice to just sit and enjoy being with and looking into the eyes of someone you love.

We were both too full to even begin to consider dessert but dh got coffee and I found a very aromatic and smooth caffeine free pear tea. We lingered over our drinks and enjoyed each other's company until well after the fireworks had ended. :cloud9:

Once we paid for dinner (this meal was an OOP meal) we finally got to take that meandering, relaxing stroll around the grounds of the Grand Floridian.

Next up...reclaiming our little creatures from the Neverland Club and a room full of magical fun to come back to!:upsidedow :wizard:

How sweet:hug:

You must be getting so excited! :goodvibes
We are all getting very excited! At least five times a day each boy tells me they are so excited that their newest little brother will be here so soon. And dh and I are even more excited about it then the boys (if that is possible). Actually, at this point, I am just plain relieved...if the little prince were to come now, he would almost certainly be able to survive (even if he would need a bit of extra help). That's a GREAT weight off of our shoulders!!

Awwwww, your sweet little baby! :cloud9: Amazing that they can get that clear a picture of the little guy! :goodvibes Take care of yourself, mommy! Lots of pixie dust for your DH and your Dad. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
THANK YOU for the pixie dust! Maybe I will bottle it and sprinkle a tiny bit each day.:wizard:

Looking forward to the next installment! Thanks for sharing that picture...we go for our next ultrasound on 1/3...we decided not to find out the sex, but it will still be so exciting to see the little bean!
Little bean! It is so very exciting to see them! I love ultrasounds (although I wish I had no reason to get one every single time;) ). It's such a special treat to see your little one before you get to hold them in your arms!! I am jealous that you are able to control yourself and get a surprise!! ;) We have NO self control. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Any baby names picked out yet? Nursery themes? PM me the details! I of course, am always willing to talk mommy-to-be talk right about now! ;)

Awwww, thanks for sharing the picture of your little guy! It's amazing how clear ultrasound pictures are now - the pictures of my kids were fuzzy little blobs
Technology is amazing these days!! We have nothing near that clear with the other boys (ultra sounds are now "4-D" and before the best we ever had was 3-D). I remember being amazed at those. My how things change!!

UP NEXT-the conclusion to the evening number 13 of our vacation and then a day full of fun (starting at Ohana character breakfast and ending up at MNSSHP *with lots of fun in between*)

As promised some pictures of the things we acquired during trip. First off some
pictures of the drawings we had done of each boy. The first one is "Goofy". He asked to be drawn with a sea turtle.

Next up "Stitch" our turtle lover with a land turtle.

And finally our little soccer obsessed "Aladdin".

Next up a set of photos of the African Raku style animal figures that dh and the boys surprised me with.
The lion.

Your dinner sounds very romantic! And the little animal figurines are so cute!

About the ultrasound and wishing you could have one everytime you went, I have a friend that just had a baby and she does ultrasound for a living (not babies, but she has access to a machine EVERYDAY) She got ultrasound pictures at least once a month and sometimes more often than that. Her machine is 4D too, and you're right the pictures are just amazing!

What a sweet boy!!!! :cloud9:

Glad you are all doing better. Progress can be slow, I know. :hourglass

What a lovely evening you & DH had. Can't wait to hear the rest.

Take care. :flower3:

Great review of Narcooses--that is one of the places I would like to go if DH & I can ever squeeze in a meal just for us.

Loved the souvenir pictures & the Ultrasound too. How much longer until the little prince is supposed to arrive?

Here is our sweet little prince to be:

:cloud9: Awww he looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL Jay!!! I can already tell that he got the MAJOR CUTENESS gene, just like his three big brothers did!!!

Oh I love this piece!!!

COLOR="red"]How cute are these caricatures of the boys!!! :)

I think all of those animals are really cool. How sweet of the guys to get them all for you!

Your dinner with DH sounds just wonderful. I think on our next trip I need to do some "Jay-style" planning....you always make such wonderful plans and surprises!!! I promise next time not to just plan on doing the parks COMMANDO style! Hahahahaha

I saw that meerkat just the other day at the MK and almost bought it. (I love meerkat manor) lol

Awww, that ultrasound picture nearly brought me to tears!! He's beautiful!! My DD always had her hands up near her face, too, although those ultrasound pictures were back in the dark days!! Take it easy with that bedrest -- it can be both a delight and a pain. I was on bedrest for six months and although I knew I was doing everything right for DD, I would dream of the mall!! :rotfl:

Loved the animals, especially the Meerkat! I was absolutely fascinated by them at AK and must have took a zillion pictures!! I want one for at home, but I don't think my yard could take it!! :rotfl2:

SO glad you posted, Jay! I was getting ready to send out a search party! Your dinner sounds delightful, but at this point, concern for your health and wellbeing has overcome my lust for your trip report. Besides, I'm beginning to get that "oh-oh" feeling of -- HOW are we going to keep track of Jay once the trip report is done?

So glad you managed to have such a delightfull :cloud9: evening together Jay. Your baby looks so cute he almost make me broody....almost but not quite:rotfl: !!!! I hope things are improving for you and DH and you're managing okay on the run up to Christmas:santa:. You're all still in my prayers...take care and post soon. Oop I ruined the sentiment by being really selfish there didn't I :rolleyes1

Okay, Jay, I did it!! I put up the first of my trip report!!! I hope people read it!! I'm so shy about it but it will be fun to relive it!!

Jay, please come back soon! I'm worried about you. I'm sending up prayers for you and the NP (new prince!!!) and DH and your dad and the boys!!

Big hugs and lots of pixie dust! :wizard:

Sounds like a wonderful romantic dinner out.

I love all your little statues, they are adorable.
Thanks! I am quite fond of them myself. Every single time I look at them, I cannot help but remember four sweet smiles bringing them to me looking so anxious that they were "just right". ;) I love those things!!

I love all of the ultrasound pictures we have...I just wish I didn't have the "need" to get them so often. It looks like our littlest prince will be appearing within the next few weeks. Our due date is the very end of January but my OB insists it will be way sooner then that. I am nervous and happy and excited and scared all at the same time!! :hourglass

Dh is doing so much better! Spinal decompression has been a LIFE SAVER (or rather back saver) for him. This past week would have been his surgery but he has made such strides with the spinal decompression stuff that we chose to cancel the surgery! He still is not normal, but the nerve pain is gone. He had a repeat MRI and the herniated disc was sucked back in and HEALING! Spinal decompression is the most amazing thing!!:cheer2:

I thought we had a month and a half (he wasn't growing on target so they were going to push the induction back closer to his due date)...however, it looks like it could be as early as a week and a half! It all depends on tests for both the littlest prince and myself.

"Jay-Style" aka LAZY! ;) On your next trip we will have to make a Jay-Style meet happen! Hopefully we can work that out! Awww and thanks, I do so think the little man is a cutie (at least in 4-D...in other ultrasounds I think he looks a bit "blobbish").:rotfl:

I saw that meerkat just the other day at the MK and almost bought it. (I love meerkat manor) lol
I saw Meerkat Manor once...I told dh we should watch it, then he read somewhere that it was a soap opera starring meerkat and he had the nerve to not only say no but to make fun of me for even suggesting it. :rolleyes1 :sad2: ;)

I DREAM OF THE MALL! And the movies...and even the grocery store. How I long to get out!!

HA HA HA You need a meerkat figurine! :thumbsup2 Cleaning up after one might just spoil the magical appeal.

Awww Linda, you always say the sweetest things. Don't worry about us. We are plugging along. I am really looking forward to our last Christmas as a family of five. The boys will be spoiled beyond imagination. Guilt and the power of just clicking to order online is a bad combination...or at least a VERY dangerous one! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Hee hee hee, I still got the sentiments quite beautifully in fact. Thank you for your prayers! They mean oh so very much to me. I will be posting about the rest of our night as soon as I finish up this post!

I am looking forward to reading your trip report! I will make it over there before Christmas!! Don't be shy!! I am really looking forward to losing myself in your travels!

Next installment coming up momentarily!

Day 13- After our dinner...

When dh and I got back to our room we threw on my comfy clothes and saw what we were sure would make the boys ultra happy! The mousekeeper who did our nightly turn down had taken the time to scatter the boys' many toys throughout the room, making them look as if they had come alive!! I knew that once our boys got back to the room they would be ear to ear smiles!

But the part I was smiling at was the refilled toiletries. I LOVE the toiletries at the GF! Don't get me wrong, I love all bath and body products (remember the Basin obsession I have;)). But the ones at the GF rate tops on my list!! H20 rocks...and the line they carry at the GF is tops! I felt spoiled. We got body wash, a nubbed bath bar, glycerin bar soap, hand soap bar, shampoo (very rich), conditioner (very thick and creamy), lotion, foot rub (minty and wonderful, my favorite product of them all) and they even leave you a little box of cotton swabs and balls. You can see everything except for the bar of hand soap in this picture (dh grabbed it before I got the picture snapped).
GFTOILETRIES.jpg

Yes, I am a bit crazed and I did have to take a picture of the soaps!:rolleyes1 It's a strange obsession. But an almost harmless one. :lmao:

One other thing I had to snap a picture of in the vanity area was the second super cool tooth brush holder we got that week! I don't know why, but they took down our first one (it was so cute, I wish I had snapped a picture before it disappeared) and left this one in it's place. Another cute one!! *Please ignore our jumble of junk behind the holder*
Disney2007274.jpg

After our quick change act and dh rolling his eyes at me  as I snapped a few pictures it was time for us to head over to the Poly and pick the boys up from the Neverland Club. Dh had had his fill of the monorail earlier that evening (and the thought of sitting or standing on "squished frog" was not appealing to me in the slightest nor was having our boys on their hands and knees searching for the frog's hiding spot on our way back). So, instead of hopping on the monorail, we took a stroll out to the front of the resort and had our van brought around for us.

Within minutes we were pulling into the Poly's parking lot. I stayed in the van (my ankle still felt a bit puny and I had done more then my fair share of strolling on it already this night) while dh ran in to get the boys. All three boys came out very happy after a night at the Neverland Club. They really liked the arcade area ("Aladdin" really liked the Spiderman game and Disney's Kingdom of Hearts game. "Goofy" and "Stitch" both liked the 101 Dalmatians game.). They all enjoyed their time at this kid's club but all three said that Simba's Clubhouse over at AKL beat it hands down. Once again, they had dined on hot dogs for dinner...go figure!

After a quick drive back to the GF we dropped off our van and headed back to our room. When the boys walked in they had so much fun discovering what their toys had been up to! It was magical for us as parents to see our boys buying into the magical premise that "at Disney, toys can 'come alive' when they are alone". Dh and I were all smiles as we watched them racing around the room, discovering what their toys were doing...some of them were even hidden!!
Disney2007223.jpg

Disney2007224.jpg

I thought these two were really cute. The boys had won them at the Contemporary arcade and the mousekeeper had posed them drinking water out of a little ceramic dish that normally holds the tea and coffee bags. She even thought to add a bit of water!!

TV watching Dalmatians!

Disney2007231.jpg

"Stitch" was so excited to search out all of the toys! He kept saying he was on a toy safari! HA HA.
Disney2007232.jpg

Here he is finding the last one...the mogwai, Stripe (from the old Gremlins movie...don't you pity me having to Christmas shop for him?!). He has his own very unique tastes!
Disney2007233.jpg

I cannot even begin to imagine the time or the creativity it took to set that up. All I can say (once again) is WOW, what great employees Disney has! What a sweet mousekeeper to take the time to make our boys' night such a special one! That simple act of kindness (and gift of their time to set it up) is a big part of the reason why I have trouble making vacation plans for other places. WDW has totally stolen my heart!

SO CUTE!!! My favourite is the dalmations....I think this is why we all love Disney resorts because although it's not a regular occurance for these lovely surprises to happen where else can you stay that they do occasionally happen:love: ?

We loved coming back to our room to see what the animals had been doing while we were gone. They were usually piled on one of the beds, with the remote control, watching television. :happytv: They kids loved it. (So did we!)
