:tink:Welcome to my pre-trip report!

This trip will take place in October of 2016. Travel party consists of me (30-something) and DS12.

A little about us: I’m a nurse and single mom to DS, who will be in 7th grade at trip time. We will be visiting WDW over his Fall Break. We go over Fall Break every year except last October when my grandmother passed. We were blessed to be able to spend her last days by her side. This coming October, we will not have been to WDW in 2 years which is incredibly long for us! (We did go to Disneyland in July 2015 and have another DL trip planned for the end of this month. But, we sure are missing the World.)

We will be staying at the Beach Club with a magical deal and it’s our first Deluxe stay. We have stayed previously at Pop (many times), CBR, and POR. Staying at BC and getting to hang out at Stormalong Bay has been a dream of ours since we started going to WDW (we looooove pool time) and I’m so excited that it’s finally coming true. I hope it lives up to our expectations!

Itinerary (subject to change)

Saturday, October 1
Flight lands at 2:00PM. Board Magical Express and hope to get to Beach Club by 3:30PM. Check in and hit Stormalong Bay for a few hours, then freshen up and head to Epcot for a late Biergarten reservation. Not sure I want to fight the Saturday night crowds at the F&W booths, and we've never done Biergarten.

Sunday, October 2
Get to MK in time to see opening show. It's a party night, so we'll leave MK when we get tired, most likely after watching Festival of Fantasy from Frontierland. Pool time at the resort and then a late dinner at Cape May.

Monday, October 3
Arrive to Animal Kingdom by 7:45AM for 8:00 EMH. Ride EE over and over until EMH is over (this is our tradition!). Have a QS breakfast, and then check in for the Wild Africa Trek tour. This is where my plans get fuzzy since we don't know the Rivers of Light details yet, but hopefully it will be running in full swing by October. I'd like to book a dinner package for RoL viewing so we will probably spend the whole day in AK.

Tuesday, October 4
Rope drop at DHS. Half day park for us, so we'll take an early pool break, have dinner at Beaches & Cream then head to MK for MNSSHP. I do know the party ticket gets you in at 4, but we find the MK too crowded between 4-7pm, so we like to be a bit fashionably late.

Wednesday, October 5
Free morning with plans to hit MK in the evening for night EMH. I'm hoping they extend the hours to 2AM like we attended in 2014. We have a Liberty Tree Tavern reservation this evening.

Thursday, October 6
Sleep in day, and then Uber to Typhoon Lagoon to use our free water park admission included in our magical deal. I know, I know, we're staying at a resort with the best pool on property! But TL is DS's favorite park in all of WDW (I'm telling you, this kid loves water) so it's a must-do. Also, we Uber it, as my experience with Disney buses and water parks is much less than magical. We've usually had our fill of water parks by about 2pm (or at least Mom is), so we'll probably head back to the BC to freshen up and then spend the evening in Epcot. No ADR's as we'll browse the Food & Wine booths.

Friday, October 7
Be at MK by 7:45AM for 8:00AM EMH. We've never done morning EMH at MK, so it will be a new experience for us. We'll take a pool break after lunch, and then Uber to the Polynesian for our early 'Ohana dinner, then to MK for MNSSHP #2.

Saturday, October 8
Departure day. :( Pack up and check bags with bell services, then head to either Epcot or DHS (or both). Tragical Express pickup at 2PM.

We've booked the Happy HalloWishes party for October 4th, which I'm really excited about! Still haven't bought party tickets yet, but we have plenty of time (it's a big expense! wow @ the prices this year). The Tuesday party we'll spend doing party activities, and Friday, which will be our last night, we'll spend riding our favorites with low waits (and will probably pause to watch Boo To You again from Frontierland, since it's our favorite parade ever!).

We are gearing up now for our Disneyland trip which is exactly 2 weeks from today. :cool1:
