We are going on our very first cruise EVER! We will be on the 4 night Dream to Bahamas on Feb 29th. I had originally booked Deluxe Family Oceanview stateroom 8508 (8C Category). This is in the front of the ship. After reading reviews, I just changed our room to 8174 (Aft of the ship 8C category). It also appears closer to elevators. Please reassure me that I made a good decision by changing our room from the front to the aft of the ship! We are traveling with DD6.

It was a good decision and I know you'll enjoy your choice. We always sail Cat. 4B on Deck 8 on the Dream which is mid ship, but often our cabin is close to the Aft area.

Close to Cabanas and easy access to the Deck 11 pools, etc.

Bon Voyage.

We just got off the dream and our room was 8130, great spot on the ship, nice and quiet, but in all honesty take the stairs it's faster than the elevators. Like not even for purpose of excersise ( you can walk enough just getting around the ship, lol) the elevators are just ridiculously slow

Thanks for the tip! This is our first cruise. How many levels is it from the restaurants, Kids Area, family pool, and theaters? I'm just trying to figure out how much up and down stairs we will need to do.

On the Dream, the restaurants are on levels 2 and 3, the theaters are on levels 3 & 4, the kids clubs are on level 5, and the pools are on level 11.

Not all restaurants are on Decks 2 and 3. Don't forget Cabanas is on Deck 11, while Palo and Remy are on Deck 12.

Yes.

If at all possible, take stairs. Kids quite often love it. :)
