So here were are with 430 days left to wait. I have been reading about the changes to the port with times etc. I am thinking that by the time we go it will be so smooth and effortless.

Getting ready for school to start! Looks like my oldest will be going to college locally this semester. Not enough dorm rooms at his school due to refurbishing. My youngest (9th grade) now needs a laptop to be taken to school each day. Glad I don't have 4 kids in school right now!

Found a Disney outlet store. Got some fun things on sale for pirate night! Other than that... just going through life and reading the Disboards.

I found a link to a current Disney Dream room service menu and I read a thread on things you can get from room service that are not listed on the menu. A couple of the things seemed a good pass it on for those of you with little ones that you may want to feed a snack to prior to dinner or just because.

1st off, the have PB&J uncrustables (grape). They also have Mickey ice cream bars (not listed) and grilled cheese sandwiches! Highly recommended is the "all hands on deck" cheese platter prior to your theatre seating or your dinner hour along with a nice glass/bottle of wine!

Just checking in.... Trying to keep our thread on the first 10 pages or so.... Hope you all are enjoying the last little bit of summer!


I did make another Disney cruise purchase.... they had 5 pocket door hangers and I bought two. One for Sallyskellington and my son and one for our room.

We were one of the families that got bumped from the 10/21/2012 cruise. Our TA called us today saying that Disney charted out the whole ship and we had to pick a new date. Of course Disney did an excellent job in providing some extra magic for our troubles, so now we're on this one!

It'll be myself (Jerry), DW (Sharon), DD7 (Katy), and DD3 (Brighid). Plus we'll have a few aunts/uncles/friends with us as well. That list should be forming up very soon - by the weekend.

Don't know about the FE list yet - but it looks fun.

Still suffering post-cruise depression from our Alaskan cruise, can't wait to get back!

Just let me know what info you want there etc. I am always amazed at how they can charter out a whole ship especially with people already scheduled on it. Do they give you a choice of dates or what? Also, guess I'm just nosey, do the people who charter the whole thing get the Disney experience or do they do their own thing on it? That's a ton of people... Who does that?

LOL You should do it now Jerry! Have you cruised before? I haven't had a bad serving team on the two cruises I went on. I did have a stateroom host I didn't much care for. Or perhaps it was on the first cruise I had one I absolutely LOVED so this one was just passable. He had a real attitute if you asked him about anything and seemed very unapproachable. When concierge asked if we needed anything else. we asked if they could arrange for us to have ice brought each day around 4. The stateroom host brought it (I actually thought that was a room service thing) and was angry that we didn't ask him. I guess he felt we had got him in trouble.

You mentioned you were going to have aunts, uncles and friends going with you. How large of a group will you be?
