DREAM OCTOBER 14, 2012 4 Night Bahamas~If You Can DREAM it...

I'm not tired of hearing you talk about it. :lmao: I'm sending those in our traveling party who are not Disboarders the Navagators and such. Next month or so I will send menu's and such. Just last night another friend said she may join in on the cruise as well. She's a teacher (really cool one) and isn't sure she wants to miss a week of school. She's the drama teacher and they have a big performance right after that.

You should get them on the dis, but then we may be held responsible in the court of law when they become addicted. :lmao:

How many people would that make in our party? I good half of the ship? And none are disboarders. No wonder there are only a handful of people on the meet thread. :rotfl:

I think Andrew lurks here now and then but he doesn't post. Most are too busy with other things to add a new addiction to their list of daily activities! :rotfl2:

I was on the Fantasy's thread for the same time frame and they are really picking up on viewers. She posts each day to keep it active and in the front of the thread pages. I just feel like I am a little odd just posting and posting and posting by myself. :surfweb:

I have a little bluebird who knocks at my front door. Everyone said when he builds his nest he will stop. He built his nest. Then they said when he has his eggs he will stop. He had his eggs. They have hatched. They have flown away. Still at my door. Now I look and he has another egg and he is still at my door. I have named him Disney because he makes me very happy. :thumbsup2

I've seen him! Adorable little thing. You named him Disney? Too cute. Reminds me of the time another bird flew into the door and made such a racket I thought someone was trying to break in. :rotfl:

Yep. I get so excited I have to try and limit myself on posts. Lol. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone! We're first time cruisers and just decided to change our date from 8/15/12 to this cruise. I'm sad to have to wait even longer but excited to be at WDW for MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival. :cool1:

So far it's just the 3 of us for this trip. At the time of the cruise my DH Dan will be 32:cool2:, our DS Nathan will be 5:yay: and I will be hanging on to 29 for 2 more weeks:scared1:.

We have main dining and the 9pm show. We are in room 8664 and are hoping to exchange FEs as long as it's not a huge amount of cabins.

I'm obsessed with planning and coming up with new ideas for door magnets and different ways to make it special. I spend lots of time on the DISgin boards too.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully getting to meet some too.

:cheer2:Welcome!:cheer2:

October is a great time to cruise! The ship is not nearly as crowded as summer and it is still warm and wonderful for swimming and such! I will go ahead and add you to the front page. MNSSHP and Food and Wine is a great time for WDW as well!
Please feel free to post and share your ideas and plans. One of the other posters has a 4 yr old son I believe. Could be a great "best friend" scenerio for the boys!

Hey Kmer - Our DS will be 4 at the time of the cruise. Perhaps the boys can meet up and would like to play together some. We also have main dining and the 9PM show. Can we make seating requests? It might be nice to sit with you guys if you're interested. Not trying to be too forward or creepy, just a thought. Maybe a bit better than sitting with complete strangers, LOL.

Hi Lisa,
It would be great to sit together if possible. I'm not sure how to go about that though. I would love to get together and play. Nathan turns 5 in August so he'll still be a young 5. I told my DH about getting together and he thinks it's a great idea as well. One of my main concerns is sitting with people either without small children or not really social people.

I most looking forward to everyone enjoying a vacation together but also apart. We love going on family vacations but sometimes it would be nice to have a little time with adults too. I really hope that my DS will enjoy the kids clubs so the he can get some kid time in as well as us getting some adult time in. This will be our first cruise so it's all exciting for us.

The easiest way to do it would probably be to link your reservations together. They would sit you together and really nothing more. It could be a really great idea and the boys would feel like they were going with a friend!

As for sitting with people you don't know, it is really hard when your children are small to do that because negative energy at a table doesn't go well for children. They feel that. When Disney does try to match people up they do work hard to find children the same age group and same family structure. Single parents with other single parents, grandparents with grandparents etc.

I love the vacation time together as well. Our cruise experiences have been so great and we have so many special memories. My favorite memories so far have been around the dinner hours as we talked about what we had done and the boys tried things the never had. The other is our milk and cookies time each evening. We have pictures of this and no matter how tired or how full we would order and laugh and talk about the next day.

You two could really do something special with the boys like a letter and picture of them and talking about what they like to do etc. Kind of like meeting a pen pal. A small gift to each other (of same value perhaps even bought for your own child and just exchanged as if from each other) could really seal the deal. If your children feel like they have a friend in the room, they will be so much more likely to enjoy the experience of the kids activities. How sweet would it be to have this little bonding time for them.

That post made me smile. And I was thinking along the same lines as letting them do a penpal thing. I think it would be wonderful!

I found this link that has a lot of information about Castaway Cay and I thought you might like to look at it. For those of you with little ones, you might like that they have activities and you can leave your child there for a while if you want a massage or just some time on the adult beach.

I'm suddenly hungry... Seein the food is worse than reading the menus sometimes... I debating wether or not to take pictures of food when we go now. I may eat the camera later. Lol.

You will not be the only person in the dining room taking pictures of food so if you want to do it, do it! We won't stop you. We even have some tips for you as we have done many food porn pictures for reviews at the World.

:lmao: I have no problem taking pictures, no embarrassment there, I litteraly may eat my camera. Didnt tyler tell you about the time a googled food when I was hungry. I googled food thinking I would sate my hunger and it just made me hungrier. I just figured out that this is what they call food porn. I never knew that until now. :lmao:
