Dream: May 22, 2011

HI EVERYONE , The old "tum-tum" is feeling much-much better......thanks everyone for your caring. And I feel for your "bummer" feeling you all had yesterday coming off the Dream..........had that feeling for your entire cruise always thinking where you GUYS were at and what :hippie: J . Q . :hippie: & company were up to..
How was the food? And how was all the shows? Did the POTC-4 play Sun. night?
OK.......did anyone re-book for a future cruise? If so....when? And did anyone book w/ Kathy and I on the FANTASY , May 19, 2012 ,and eastern cruise. Let's all some-how keep in-touch. :thumbsup2

Don, glad to hear you're feeling better. You missed a great time on the Dream. This ship is just over the top!!! It has everything you could possibly want in a cruise ship, but the best way I can describe it is "elegance".

We met Kris and Naomi at CI&S, and we all boarded together with a #2 boarding pass. The process went super smooth with no problems at all. Throughout the cruise we ran into our meet group all over the ship.

My group did Atlantis, which was too big, but fun. On Castaway we treated Edith and Gus to a Cabana, which was fantastic and worth every penny in my opinion. What a beautiful island. Can't wait to go back!

We never got the chance to re-book a dummy cruise, so I'm not sure when our next one will be. I will keep you posted.

Overall this trip far exceeded our expectations. We had a great time!

Hi fellow cruisers. We got home late yesterday (Friday) afternoon. I'm very happy that we got to meet some of you, it was a pleasure.

Husurdady: Glad to hear you're feeling better. You were missed.

We had an awesome time on the Dream and can't wait to go back in November. We did lots, but there was lots that we didn't get to do. Now that we know the lay of the ship, we'll be able to better navigate when we go back. I have a list of definate must do's for then.
I was surprised as the rest of you at just how big the Dream is. It's hard to imagine before you get there.
We thoroughly enjoyed the dining. Don and I agree that Enchanted Garden was our favorite, Royal Palace then Animators. But of course Palo Brunch was the absolute top favorite.
We got to see Pirates 4 on Monday night. Boy, that theatre was totally packed. There were people who couldn't get a seat.

We did not book onboard this time but most likely will book again in November after we decide which cruise we want for the next endeavor.

You all take care and keep in touch.:thumbsup2

 HI KRIS , Glad you and DON, had a GREAT time. And thanks for being missed.........one of these days , the 4 of us will " hook" up and go out for fish. With JQ & company also , wish all of you guys would have booked a cruise with us next May 19 , 2012 on the FANTASY.....OH-WELL.
Having a good time here @ OKW. We just got back from the Animal Kingtom , after spending 6.5 hrs there.........I am pooped. No more tummy cramps, but still don't feel like my old-self. It's 91 out side today, the bones love-it. HENLADY , let's keep-in-touch. :)

Hi everyone :goodvibes Thank you so much for everyone's FE gifts. It was such a great experience. My DH kept laughing at me, but he liked it as well. The family that we sat with during dinner wants me to email her info, so she can do one on their next cruise.

DS had the best time out of everyone. He is such a water nut :rotfl:

We had the nursery booked from 12:30-3:30 on day 2 so it worked perfectly for POTC 4. We loved it.

Our favorite meals were Palo dinner and brunch of course, followed by AP, RP and EG.

Nothing booked for the future yet, but WDW will be next in Dec 2012.

It was great meeting everyone.

Husurdady - Glad to hear that you are feeling better and more importantly that you were able to get a refund and rebook :thumbsup2

We are just now getting home...we did a B2B...and wanted to Thank everyone for our FE gifts. My children LOVED checking their *mailbox* several times a day. This was my sons 1st cruise and I think the FE was one of his favorite parts about cruising :)

Husurdady, we are booked for May 19th on the Fantasy.

Sorry we missed the meet, after we finally got on board everything went crazy (in a wonderful, good way) and I let the time slip right past me.

Best. Vacation. EVER!!!! We all LOVED the Dream, every single minute of it. I'm so sorry I missed the meet, I completely lost track of the time as we rode the AquaDuck over and over and over :lmao:

Can't wait to go back, AND to try the Fantasy!!!

Thanks for all the FE gifts, they were wonderful and we had a great time with it.

wow, it is sooo exciting even though it is our 14th DCL. Going with neighbors and family with HDQR at 6146. Newly engaged couple with an 8 year old daughter and a few old time married honeymooners! We love being casual, but love to see the outfits for pirates. Give a wave when at the adult pool!

Sweetie, the 2011 May 22nd Dream has sailed. Make sure you are in the right place!

Thank you to everyone for the lovely gifts, so sorry that ours were not all that home made just the magnet! We loved all of yours, also about the cabin change we did leave a note on the door and the last day our first steward delivered our gifts to out new room!
We were offered to be moved due to the noise below us of the floor thumping as we were right above the disco club!
Thet moved us next day and gave us a verandah plus a bottle of wine to say sorry! Nice pixie dust!!

Also lovely to meet all of you guys from over the pond and glad that we found the Lumpkin Family on Castaway Cay with another family that we chatted too, hi Kelly and Cooper plus family!! XXX

I have 2 daughters as well...mine will be 7 and 13 at the time of the cruise. I have some reservations about letting my oldest go in the teen club. She is mildly autistic and has problems with "social" settings and getting to know other people. I wish they would let her go back into the club setting. I felt more comfortable with her there knowing that she was supervised and that she couldn't leave without one of us signing her out.
I know what you mean about being more excited to go on the Dream than the western Caribbean! We looked at the 7 night eastern and just decided against it because I want to go on the Dream!!

Nice to meet you as well!

Lisa

Talk to Disney as they accommodate everything. they will make it VERY comfortible for everyone if you tell them the situation. No worries, be happy! my grand daughter is 8 and we know she will be in good hands and advise if any problems or concerns.

JohnnyQuest, poisonivy, and IronMan - I wanted to post this before I left(moving tomorrow! AH!) and didn't have access to my home computer. It turned out really great!

wow! what a great shot. Thank your dad for us. It was great to meet you guys. You have a beautiful family.

Now where's that shot of Bella as the Red Headed Wench?

Kris, I have a great shot of you and Don.
and Naomi....................I may have a couple of you as we all waited in line to score our Boarding number 2's!!!! where the heck were you the rest of the cruise? We saw the parasailers on CC and kept wondering "is she out there?":confused3.

It's tough to be back. I'm suffering from the post-cruisemeet blues.

We're looking at possibly cruising the Fantasy in 2012 but I'm not sure about eastern/western options and dates. If we do, it'll be early Nov or Dec with a quick trip to the World to catch all the holiday glitz. Anyone have an idea about weather that time of year?

We were on the 9am first boat loads of parasailers. Ash, Chance, and I spent a lot of our trip avoiding George....... got him around any bit of culture and sophistication and he turned into a pompous butthole. We followed Chances lead for the most part.... and it was great! Again, sorry for missing the meet.
I got a bit upset when someone down the hall "borrowed" the first trip magnent. Almost pulled them all in over that.....
thanks to everyone that left a message. BELLE left us one too!

Here's the redheaded wench costume - some people thought I was a CM. While I was waiting in line to meet Jack Sparrow, a mom asked if I was taking photos tonight, too! lol I was so flattered. I got greeted with chants of "We wants the redhead" on deck, too. :)

Belladisneydncr: Loved, Loved Loved:love: the Red headed wench costume. Saw you in the atrium area but you were busy so didn't get a chance to tell you then. Did you make the costume? If so, great job. Good luck with your CM endeavor. Let us know where you'll be stationed. We're going to be in WDW Nov 17-19th, if you're going to be in the MK, maybe we'll come across you.

Poison Ivy: I have a good pic of all of you guys in the terminal also. I'll try to post it here. How did your parents like the cruise? I know they've been on other cruiselines, and was wondering what their take was on the Dream....
Your dad's a hoot. I liked him and your mom.

Naomi: It stinks that someone took your magnet. It never ceases to amaze me at the gaul of some people. I almost missed you sitting in the porthole area in the hallway that evening. Sometimes, I just have this "tunnel vision" and don't really look around me much, which is not a good thing.

We spent Castaway Cay day lounging at Serenity Bay. What an absolute slice of heaven. It was sooo quiet out there.

I'm not too happy being back to work either. Can't wait for November to get here for our next 4 night cruise on the Dream. This one will be with our DD and DGS age 4 along with us. The 4 year old should provide some interesting moments.

Thank you!!! I did make it :)

And to answer your second request- I wanted to let everyone know that I am working at Splash Mountain! So if you're ever in need of a laughing place, stop on by and see me!

That's awesome, will you be there just for the summer? We're headed back to the World in late September for a MNSSHP before a 3-night on the Dream (I have a conference on board, such hard work :lmao:). I rode SM for the first time after our May cruise, can you believe it?! I'm such a chicken about steep drops, but it was so fun! I was shamed onto it after my 4-year-old declared it to be his favorite ride.

Tracykim, are you still going on the Sept 22 3-night?! That is so wild, we'll be on that one as well!! My agency's annual meeting is onboard, so of course I had to go :thumbsup2 This time it's me and DH, and my sister & her husband, and my other sister & a her friend. I am even more excited now that I know how AMAZING the Dream is!!

Ok, just made it further through the posts in the Sept 22 meet and saw you said you weren't going on that one. Bummer!

HI GUYS .....Speaking of cruising........any one want to come and go with us next APRIL 25, 2012, its a 5 night cruise on the MAGIC with its first stop in Margaritaville........KEY WEST. That will be one of the last times going back there because tha DREAM is too large to dock there. The prices I find were much-much cheaper than a Dream 4 night cruise on the 29th. Look it up , I started my first ever cruise posting. LETS ALL KEEP IN TOUCH.

Thank you!!! I did make it :)

Will you by chance be there in SEPT?.............lets say Sept 17th to the 24th??? OH! , look out for those real little mickeys running around there. My S-IN-L once worked there, and she would tell Kathy how many she would see that night. :scared1:
