We just booked today. This will be our first Disney cruise and DS (3) 1st cruise ever. We also set sail on our 12th anniversary. SO excited. We are keeping it a surprise from the kids.

Just booked Disney Dream May 22 2011. I am a DVC member that has been to Disney several times, but this this our first cruise. Very excited!!! Looking for neighbors and any advice/tips that you can offer. We are:

DD (12- at time of cruise)
Niece (12-at time of cruise)- I have to add her to our ressie. Hoping they don't change our cabin #.

Welcome aboard, Steph!! We are just the opposite, we're going to disney for the first time in FEb. but this is our 3rd disney cruise! I have 2 dd's and one will be 13 at the time of sailing! Noticed you're not to terribly far from me either!

Wonderful! You will love Disney. We are excited about the cruise. I am trying to get all of the info that I can. I have been checking out the FE and it sounds like alot of fun. I am not sure who is coordinating, but we want to join. Let me know what I need to do to sign up. Do you usually fly to Orlando? We have always drove, but are considering flying this time.

Did you book with points? If you did they'll probably charge you the $95 change fee to add your niece, but I wouldn't think that they'd need to change your room #.

I'm in DVC too. This is my 5th DVC cruise, but only my 3rd using points.

I did book with points. They told me that I would be charged the $95 if I added my niece. Of course, I did not realize that until I had already made the reservation or I would have waited until I knew that she was definitely going with us before calling.

I read through the boards before booking with points and basically decided that the points were there to use and we were not planning another trip at the time so I used them. It is nice to book a cruise for only $95 (twice in my case).

First of all, to all you moms of the May 22, 2011 Cruise, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY. Now second, Welcome Steph to our cruise.You want to hear something funny..........well I will tell you anyway. On Oct,7th 2009 when they first opened up the Dream cruise ressies, guess what stateroom I reserved, using cash not DVC pts. Room 7000. I hope you guys will enjoy your cruise, this will be our 8th since May 2004. Dw wanted a "V" stateroom so we switch down to deck 5 with a "v".

We did the FE on our last cruise (it was our first time doing it) and me and my girls really enjoyed it. I'm just not creative and end up stressing on what to make/buy for our gift lol.
We always drive, my dh refuses to fly. I would like to fly once, but unless I can convince him otherwise, it won't happen!
