Dream: May 22, 2011

I have 2 daughters as well...mine will be 7 and 13 at the time of the cruise. I have some reservations about letting my oldest go in the teen club. She is mildly autistic and has problems with "social" settings and getting to know other people. I wish they would let her go back into the club setting. I felt more comfortable with her there knowing that she was supervised and that she couldn't leave without one of us signing her out.
I know what you mean about being more excited to go on the Dream than the western Caribbean! We looked at the 7 night eastern and just decided against it because I want to go on the Dream!!

Nice to meet you as well!

Lisa

My disabled 14 year old is non-verbal and in a wheelchair and I was told by the manager of the Oceaneer's Club & Lab, that she can participate still in the younger groups. She is only going on the Oct. 2011 trip.

Hi all...
We are climbing on board the Dream 4-day on May 22nd too. 1 week after my 40th birthday!
Decided on a cat. 11A and booked cabin 8559 midship. Nice to have 2 sets of elevators soooo close and 3 decks up to pools/ food and 3 decks down to kids club!
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hoping that we'll get an FE exchange organized on this cruise. My dd LOVED it!

mylittleprincess - I'm with you, I'd rather try them both so you can experience the difference. I'm sure the Fantasy will be similar to the Dream, but I still plan on booking that one when bookings open up :goodvibes

tigger2on - Welcome aboard :woohoo:

disneyluvnmom - When you're ready, ask away and I'll try my best. It's been a while, but I still remember some things. Just not my age apparently :confused3

So anyone here will want to participate in a FE exchange???

It's a gift exchange activity. My kids LOVED it. And I loved delivering things too!
Lots of info can be found here...

WE got our Fish extender from an ebay seller Gradysmom.
WE gave out Disney stationary sets, CDs of Canadian tunes, and loot bags with Disney magnetic pins, candy necklaces and canada flag pencils on our recent Wonder CRuise. 13 families participated. 22 kids in all aged 3 -14

Here's our FE from last trip! I guess we'll start keeping track of who wants to participate as it gets closer! Hooray!

HI everyone, just checking in to see what you all are up to, I see someone has started up the F E gift X, Hey who is going to name this cruise?, or do you gals/guys already got one picked already?? And who is are leader? Hey, since I talked last ,dw & I changed stated room, we now have a 5th deck room W/ a"V",and dropped our May 26th B2B.

Hi there everyone! My boyfriend and I just booked this cruise tonight - we watched the Disney Cruise Line special on the Travel Channel, and while I've wanted to go on a cruise for a while (and actually already have two b2b booked with my family on the Dream in August 2011), this made him want to go on a cruise too.

So today, I showed him the video on the Disney website of the Dream, and he was like "Oh my god... how much is this?" So we looked up the maiden voyage prices, and our jaws dropped - sooo much. But then we checked spring break, and when we saw 800$, we freaked out.... and thus, several hours later, we are now booked for May (we didn't know when our spring break was, so we just picked a date we knew we'd already be out of school by.)

We decided to do the 4 day, because even though it's more expensive (by a lot), that extra day probably makes a huge difference with how much you get to do.

We are me, Danica (20 by the cruise), and DBF, Lou (21 by the cruise... my baby's growing up!!!). We will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary, because it is on May 31st.

Our room is GTY 11B right now, and we're not really picky, so we'll just leave it as that. We could have done the oceanview, but I actually am excited about the virtual porthole... :rotfl: I love Peach!

SAM , don't forget to bring your list of different kinds of drinks to try.Our dd back in 06 on our 7d-w cruise had a list with no less than 12 different kinds. She ended up liking the mudslide best of all.Today[4years later] she doesn't touch any at all. You and your bf have a great time, and remember mom and dad are 3 decks up stairs. LOL

Hey everyone! I haven't been on in a while and thought I would "check IN". Count me in on the FE exchange. We done this on our last cruise and I loved it! The kids was excited to come back and see different things in their own "pocket". I also have facebook as well if anyone wants to connect on there, mine is http://www.facebook.com/scarlett233. Just be sure to mention that you're from this thread or I might not know it and not add you!!

I cannot wait to go on this cruise! We went and spent 3 days/2 nights in Gatlinburg, Tn and we found ourself comparing everything to DCL ...hotel room, dining, service at restaurants, etc. We've been spoiled!!!!!

LOL you're right about that. We only live around 2 hrs from Gatlinburg, so we've been several times, and so the directions we are pretty much used to now!!!

Lisa

**** We are no longer cruising on this date :( I booked it originally to see POTC on board but decided I would rather celebrate my 40th so I re-booked on the May 15th cruise.) Enjoy your cruise all!!
2 sets of friends are joining me on this cruise for my 40th.
Kim and Aileen with 6 yr old Neil - Cabin 8527

When we would go there, we would always stay at the Jack Huff Motor Lodge, the only hotel left w/a diving board at the pool, they said when it broke, no more because of higher insurance. Some how it was" grand-fathered in",so they could keep it. ........ and you guessed it you had to turn left at stop light # 3. :lmao:
