Someone that I know told me yesterday that this past summer she was told by a cast member that she could go up to a cast member and ask them if they were a dream maker. If the cast member was a dream maker the guest
could then ask for a dream (anything she wanted). She said that she did this and she was able to go on rock n roller coasters sitting in the front car right away. Has anyone else done this? We leave in 1 week and I wanted to try this if it is possible. Thanks!

Well... every cast member is really a dream maker. ;)

Now Dream Squad members do have a little more ability than other front line cast members because they do not have set positions. They can wander through out the park and do guest service recovery and magical moments with anyone they meet.

However, having known a couple Dream Squad members, they may not be as inclined to help someone who is actively seeking it. If you do see a Squad cast member - strike up a conversation with them. They are selected specifically for their guest service skills and are among the cream of the crop when it comes to interacting with guests. And - if they so choose to - can often assist with expediting a visit (ie. walking guests on to certain attractions) or can conjure up a one of a kind experience. But - saying things like "what can you do for me" or "give to me" may get you nothing but a smile and a sticker.

Having said that, do it quickly because the Dream Squad is being disbanded at the end of the year with the start of the new promotion/celebration.

I agree with the PP. I've struck up a conversation with many a Dream Squad member but I've never asked for anything. I don't think asking for a dream would work all that well. Of course it never hurts to ask I guess but if you could casually discuss what you are planning on doing in a converstaion you never know what may come of it. Let's just say I got front of the line to RNR and TOT and I absolutely didn't ask. In fact it was the lack of asking for anything that led to the offer, IMO.
