Hi,

Hello, thanks for organizing the meet and greet and FE exchnge. Please include my family in both. We did a FE exchange on our last cruise and it was one of my daughters favorite things about the whole cruise it is myself, my DH, my DD (5.5), and DS (2.5).

Let me know if there is anything I can bring for the meet and greet- we are from Canada and so will be flying in and can't bring anything perishable or too large.

Also, on our last cruise my daughter started corresponding by email with a couple of other girls her age so that she would have a "buddy" to go to the oceaneers club with. I would love for her to do that again as she made some great friends.

Does anyone have a daughter aged 5 or 6 that might like to make a connection via email with my DD before we go? If so, please message me.

Anyone still wanting to participate in either please let me know. I know I have already begun my FEs. I think we should cut off the FE by beginning of January 2012 if possible so that we all have time to prepare. There are no rules with this FE as we have such a small group. You can spend what you want, deliver when you want, etc.

Anyone who would like to volunteer anything for the Meet and Greet please let me know so we may coordinate. Again it will be in 12502 right after the Muster Drill. It's on concierge so I will have a teenager standing guard at the gate in case it is closed. Paper plates, cups and napkins would be much appreciated!

I need to get my hubby to put the list up on our website so you all can access it. We are currently at 6 families for the FE and around 40ish for the meet and greet.

I am getting TOOOOOOO excited. 120 days out for booking is this Friday at 11:00 pm Central Time. The concierge said they would help us with anything we have troubles with starting Monday Morning. What am I forgetting?

* Palo Brunch for hubby and I Sea Day
* Drinks/Snacks for Meet and Greet Sail Away Day
* Cabana reservation at Cast Away Cay

Surely I am missing something. There's not enough on the list! Is it really this easy?

I've just received my first shipment of Fish Extender gifts. They are awesome by the way! I'm going to have them shipped to my room so I don't have to schlep them. Now I have to figure out goody bags for everyone to go with the big items. UGH!

Have you been to Remy? Do you like it? The only reason I would think to skip it is I don't want to put my kids in daycare hell while we site down for a 3 hour meal. I'd rather be with them. We can have Palo delivered to our room and I know they'd eat that!

I have never been to Remy....but Palo is YUMMY!!! Your kids will eat it up! Best food on the ship by far! We did brunch and oh my.....I was in hog heaven!

I agree with you about daycare hell while you dine...LOL! I just mentioned it in case you forgot. A 3 hour meal really isn't our thing, and I'd probably feel guilty!

I'm just hoping the water at CC will be warm enough to swim in, our last cruise was in December and I swear the poor life guards were BLUE it was sooooo cold!

Do you plan on doing any excursions in Nassau? We are probably going to get off the boat for awhile and try to find our last cab driver that hangs around the port. He was so great and took us all around the island, we even met some of his family....I hope he's there this time!

Hi All,

Just an FYI - Comfort Inns and Suites lowered their rates. AAA rate for the day we're in Nassau is $134.00
We had planned on just staying on the ship but the waterpark at Atlantis is very tempting. I'm just worried that it'll be too cold or rain. We'll see, something to think about.

We're also really excited for this cruise. The kids can't wait to hit the kids clubs. For me just relaxing on a lounger doing absolutely nothing sounds really good just about now

Regarding Nassau: We are still negotiating this. When I was kid I LOVED getting off in Nassau because they had the original straw market, the real one. I got to play with local kids, there were locally made products, etc. Then, the straw market burned, now all the products say make in China or Taiwan. So, maybe the local zoo, but probably that's the best I can do in the negotiation.

There's a really cute pirate museum in Nassau called Pirates of Nassau. I think it's like $12 for adults and $6 for kids. Maybe your kids would like that

We might go too, it really depends on how we feel in the morning and how fast we want to get out of bed. But I have NO desire whatsoever to go to the straw market. I heard that it's crowded and the vendors are yelling at you....my husband would probably spend time in a Bahamian jail from knocking someone out! LOL! It's hard enough to get through all the cab drivers and hair braid people at the port!

Hello fellow cruisers!

I spoke with concierge this morning to arrange our meet and greet. I think I'll just ask concierge to have everything ready so we don't have to worry about anyone schlepping something on the first day. They suggested an open time of 2:30 - 3:30. That will allow time for us to get in our room, concierge to deliver food/drinks etc. and time for you all to explore the ship before the muster drill.

Please everyone let me know if this will work for you. Of course no one is expected to be there for an hour. We really just want everyone to be able to stop by, say hello, and meet their fellow passengers. If we want to tighten it up we could do 2:30 - 3:00 or 3:00 to 3:30. The concierge indicated a party of 20 can comfortably fit in the suite but larger groups are iffy. But the deck is as large as the suite, assuming the weather is good I think we can fit another 20 with no problem.

Please let me know your experiences from previous meet and greets. I've never attended one.

Thanks, Trish, how nice! We'd love to get to meet others. I'm not sure what time we'll be on the ship other than boarding begins after 11am. We're hoping to be on as early as we can, grab some lunch and check-out the kids club. Other than that, this whole thing is so new to me I don't know what to expect. Hope to see you
