Welcome aboard the Disney Dream April14,2011. On this cruise we will make many Magical memories and our Dreams will come true as we set sail for a wonderful time! I am posting some official and unofficial group meets. So you can get to know your fellow DisBoards friends.

Thursday-@3:00pm * Bon Voyage Lounge Deck 3 Portside of ship. Our first Official Meet and Greet! Just stop by to say Hello and introduce ourseves to one another.
Thursday -@4:30 pm Deck 11 Starboard side of ship by Luigis pizza. Lets all meet for our Sail away Party! Where we will say Bon Voyage to Port Canaveral.
Friday -@ 7:45 pm Deck 11 midship by the Mickey pool starboard side of ship or Mickey side. Pirate Deck Party begins! (This is a good one for young kids) Then @ 10:30 pm The Buccaneers Blast begins! This is a must see great time for the whole family!! Don't forget your Pirate costumes! ADULTS!! Let us continue the fun. Drop the kids off at their clubs and meet on Deck 4 Aft @ Evolutions for some grown up time.
Saturday- Welcome to Paradise!Lets all meet in the middle of Castaway Cay Family beach. For some Fun in the Sun. Is anyone getting HUNGRY? 11:30 am head on over to Cookies or Cookies 2 for some Disney style BBQ!
Saturday Night-@9:45 pm Please meet in the ships lobby or atrium in front of the Royal Palace. Prior to Till We Meet Again Celebration *For a Group Photo.
I posted as many meets as i could come up with. Even though our disney Dream cruise will come to a close remember we can all still keep in touch on the DisBoards and FB.don't forget when you get home to post your photos and trip reports to keep the Magic going and keep all of our Dreams alive.

I can hardly wait. Sounds like you covered everything!
I have two questions:
1. Pirate Party at 10:30 where is the best time to meet. Is it on deck 12? I just read today: "for a good view of the fireworks, go to the family area on deck 12 near the Quiet Cove...it was not very crowded and had a great view....plus there are nice chairs to sit in while waiting....". Also, should we meet a little bit earlier for that event, before it gets too crowded?
2.Meeting at Evolutions right after is a great idea
3. It is great that you suggested indoor and outdoor meets for 4/14; but if the weather is nice I would love to meet everyone on the deck 11 as you suggested (if the weather is nice, I don't think I would be able to get my DD out of the pool )
4. What a fantastic idea to meet on Sat. for the group picture

Deck 11 is The Show for Pirates and you can see the fireworks from 11 or 12 just fine I have to meet times for the 14th because that way if some are still eating lunch or some may have to get ready for early Dinner seating . The first one is really quick ,so we can put names with faces and then the sailaway party sometimes gets crazy this way we can reconize each other. I didn't put a time at CCay because i am not sure when we will get off the ship and some may want to sleep in. So i figure if we meet in the middle atleast we can check in once in awhile and find people. As for the group picture this is a Big one for me . I just want us all to remember each other. I did this also on our last DC and it was AWESOME!! Your Welcome! See ya soon.

Hi Everyone! My DD just got me set up on the Disboards This will be the 3rd Disney cruise for DW & I. We're doing a B2B this time (also on the 4/17 cruise). DD, DSIL & DGD are joining us for the next one. She mentioned that there were a few people also doing B2B the same dates.

Big question: how will we recognize each other? We made green t-shirts with special designs. Should we agree to wear some kind of a bracelet? Any other ideas?

Hi:
DH (Dennis) and DW (Lucy) came back from a 3 month trip to Clermont, FL next door to Disney. EPCOT this year is fantastic. The Garden Festival is worthwhile seeing. Make sure you have your camera ready at all times. The Butterfly Exhibit is great with special flowers among the character exhibits. Our DD will be joining us at the parks after the conclusion of the cruise. Looking forward to seeing everyone very soon.

With the FE is actually fun to spread it out. Last cruise, just about every time we came back to our room, there was something there. We split ours up and delivered 1/3 of them each day.

Final count: 85 people in my group are joining with us. I'm a group leader, so you'll recognize me when you get on board the Dream next Thursday. Look for me with moving hands (sign language, of course). We have 85 deaf people with sign language and we'll have 9 CM interpreters come along with us. We are looking forward to our trip soon!

Can't wait, only couple days, as an experienced cruiser do you know if laptops can be brought onboard, is there a safe place to keep them and is wireless expensive? We are looking for a easy way to keep in touch with people at home.

Can't wait, only couple days, as an experienced cruiser do you know if laptops can be brought onboard, is there a safe place to keep them and is wireless expensive? We are looking for a easy way to keep in touch with people at home.

It is expensive for internet service. Normally $40 for 100 minutes and $75 for 250 minutes. We bring our laptop onboard because the cafe is usually busy and it works nicely in the cabins (at least on the Wonder). I'm not sure if the safes on the Dream are large enough for the laptop.
