Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

Hey everyone,
Our second DCL cruise. (May 6, 2010) This time we celebrate my wifes birthday (30 something), my daughters Birthday (5), and our 10 year anniversary. Bringing Grandma and Grandpa along with us so we can enjoy a night of dining alone, hopefully. I have been looking forward to this cruise since last year. I look forward to talking with you guys prior to the big day. We did the zoo excursion in Nassua last year, anyone have any other suggestions for the 5 of us to do while in port? If you guys are going to meet up, just pick one of the top decks between Muster and the party. During the party, the top deck was practically empty when we were on last. Love to set up a play date if anyone wants to. For my daughter that is!

Welcome to the board! I would love to set up a play date with your daughter. I am the grammy and am taking our grandson for his 5th birthday present! Logan is quite shy and i thought it would be good for him to meet children so the kids club might not be quite so scarey to go into. PM me if interested. BTW, I have you down for the fish exchange.
:flower3:

Ok so the winter blues has hit me so hard today....:scared1:. I can not take anymore snow, cold, ice or dark.

So I am sitting here waiting for the live webcast and yes I am going to watch it. And most likely rewatch it later too. :happytv:

By the way it is snowing here again and I am ready for spring. This cold white stuff is for the birds.

Did everyone see the webcast today...I know if you missed it you can see it on the disneycruise page. I must say it was very cool. And just made me think how long we have to wait. I hope time flies by faster than it has been.

my husband watched a video of the dream now he is getting psyched!!!
he could not understand why i was so excited. he just said, if you want to
go, make the reservations and do whatever you want...just dont get me
involved...im too busy right now at work!!! so i didnt need him to tell me twice! now that the project he has been working on at work is slowing down
he looked and is totally amazed. he knew nothing about the trip except we were picking up Logan, going to disneyworld a few days then heading to cape canaveral to catch a boat on May 8! was he pleasantly surprised!!!!!:flower3:

That is so funny because that is how my hubby was the 1st time we went. Once he got there and was on the boat a couple of hours he was like can we book another one. I must say I was shocked and thrilled that he loved it. We too are going to Disney before we sail. After that we will need a few days on the boat to rest from that. On Sunday while my Packers take on the bears we will be 100 days from flying out. I can not wait let the count down really start.

hi jadeC, welcome aboard! this is a great place to vent your excitement because we are "all in the same boat"!!!! when it comes to that:flower3:
My husband and I will be traveling with our grandson(5) and planning on having the time of our lives!

Kourtney is for out-going and I'm sure 5 minutes with Logan, they will be on their way. We did not have time to go to the Kids Club last year on the Wonder but this year we chose the 4 day and I hope there is going to be time for her to go in there. I am hoping that between now and cruise time, all of us on DIS can figure out a good time to meet. I know we will be getting to the port around 10 or 11 or after Muster and before 4:00 party, or after the party. Either way, you know the room we are in, you can always leave us a message and we will find a meeting time for Logan and Kourtney to get together.

We went on the three day May 6 Wonder, last year. The seas were as smooth as a sheet of ice. You can't beat the weather. I even thought Castaway was nice, (not to hot) being from Florida, I'm used to the humidity and heat though. Nonetheless, you're right, what a beautiful season for a cruise.
By the way, AMELIAFORTE, we are early dinner as well. We'll have to see what the dinner schedule looks like. Speaking of which, we did a 3 day last year, 3 restaraunts, one each night. Are there Four on the Dream or 3?

Welcome Jade_C. My mom and stepdad are going with us this time. THey have done other cruise lines but never the best. So it will be them, me DD age 5 (at heart), DW and DD age 5. Ameliaforte and I are tring to set up a play date between her DS 5 and our DD. Glad to see you guys here and hope to see you on board. AMeliaforte is taking info on Fish Extender if you want.

i believe the early dinner is 6 and late show 9. i think there are 3 restraunts but you do one twice...is this right anyone? i choose early dinner because i'd rather logan sleep through the show than through dinner and i really want to have our meals with him.:flower3:

Yes, I think you are correct. The restaurant you eat at on the first night will be the one you eat at on the last night. There's a code on your room key which gives you the sequence of the dining locations you are assigned to for your cruise.

well our family is 100 days out...I can not believe that in the morning we will be in double digits. I hope the countdown goes by a little faster.
