Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

We now have four months to go!:mickeyjum:donald::goofy::ccat:

Also, we're up to 560 posts, that was quick!

I am a person who likes my coffee right away.... does anyone know if there are coffee pots in the staterooms? Also, does anyone know the height requirement for the Aqua Duck?

I don't know if coffee pots are in the staterooms, but you can order coffee from room service in the morning. You can place your order on your stateroom door and it will delivered at the time you want it.

By the way my little guy has hit 48" tall...he can go on the aquaduck!!!!:

There are not any on the Magic or Wonder, so I would expect not on the Dream either. Like OP said order the night before and wrap the pot in a towel or use the door knob hanger in the room to order in the morning at a certain time. They call before they deliver, so it's coffee & a wakeup call combined. :thumbsup2

We are thinking about not leaving the ship in Nassau, also. We would like to explore everything and take tons of pics. Have already booked Palo for dinner and brunch and booked the spa for myself. Am really getting excited!

I am so counting the days...We here only have 115 days. I can not wait and have been shopping for the trip.

our minds are thinking alike. not sure what to book on castaway cay. really want to do the stingray thing and snorkeling but i think Logan will be afraid to snorkel. he will be 5, but a "scarey 5". last summer, he was afraid to let go of me in a pool, even with water wings on! im trying to get him to do swimming lessons this winter, but he's afraid. if that's the case, i guess he'll just play. i'd like to skip nassau also, but my husband wants to take a quick peek. we'll see. i think meeting face to face would be great too. we'll work on that! i'd love logan to meet your boys. i looked on the list to see their names, but you arent doing fish exchanger?:flower3:

Last time we got off and just walked around. It was great and we were back on by lunch time and then spent the rest of the day by the pool. I would say get off see the town then enjoy the ship.

No there is no Coffee pots or Irons in any of the rooms. They are not allowed in stateroom. There coffee shop is open very early and you can even put in a room service order to have coffee brought to the room at a set time. Don't forget the room service person gets tipped right away and not at the end. So have some cash small bills to tip them.

got you mixed up...sorry. i s till think we should all try to meet:flower3:

I also think we should meet one way or the other.
Could we all meet waiting for the aquaduck? If it's a long wait, we'll have a reason, and time, to meet! If not, we still can go for a smoothie after! :grouphug:

Great idea but I also think we all will meet alot of people waiting in line for the duck!!! I know I plan to go in it more than once (a day) so I know I will be in that line with my kids a few times.

hi guys, how does meeting right after the firedrill before anything starts?
we can all have a lime green mickey paint chip and write our names on it!!!!
lets brainstorm here for suggestions.:flower3:

I think this is a great idea. I was also thinking that if we wanted to schedule a meet, we should do it on the first day. Once the cruise gets underway, we'll all be busy enjoying our vacation.

We'll need to decide on a location. Maybe someone on the thread whose been on a Disney cruise can give us some ideas.

I go for it. I may not have been clear earlier, I meant to have a meeting point at the entrance of the queue for the aquaduck. My first suggestion was to wait for everybody in the group and then, try the aquaduck and we could have chat in the queue. I would still go for meeting close to the aquaduck - after the drill, even if we don't take the queue and it's only to admire it as a group, if nothing else is suggested.

Well I just checked my countdown and we are only 112 days away....:cool1::thumbsup2. I really can not wait to be packing and and running around like a crazy person. I am so looking forward to it. Oh and I am sick of working I need a vacation. I guess just like the rest of us we are all ready to go. But with fresh snow on the ground I could really use the sun and and the surf.

Meeting sounds great...I know we will all be busy with family stuff once the kick off party happens. I think we really have to do it before the kickoff party. I think we can almost meet to on one of the decks....Like the sports deck. I am sure we can all come up with a good place. Maybe it will be a good question to ask after Jan of those that have sailed.

every suggestion sounds great so far, keep them coming in and when the time gets closer, lets vote!! sound ok? actually, i have a friend going a few weeks before us, when she gets back, i'll have all kinds of news to share:flower3:

Thanks! The swimming pools look very small to me.

There are also several posts on the cruise trip board that have some Dream pics. I'll post the links.
