Dream 8a

Interesting. This room is not nearly as nice as 5020/5022. I think its a nice room, although that pole in the middle looks dangerous!! :lmao:

Thanks for sharing!

The set up would not work for me, but it looks as though 6514 may have the upper berth (as it has the lower light).

This is going to be our room so it looks like I'll be in for a bit of dancing :rotfl:

The same travel agent posted some more photos of these rooms:

Eww! Don't mess with the portholes. The desk would drive me crazy. I think I would rather has a single bath then two obstructed portholes. I don't understand why they change the layout in so many rooms. We had two inside rooms on our last cruise and they were both very different. The closets and desks were completely different. I would think it would be easier to do them all the same and it would sure clear up confusion within each category.

I don't like this one bit!!!
Based on the pictures posted yesterday of 5022/5020 I changed my reservation to get room 6016 (which is one deck above them). If 6016 looks like this room 6514, then I'm really going to be upset. I would of rather of just kept my 8C room to begin with.

Wonder where the tv is in this room and more storage? Is there a split bath in this one? Guess I will be surprised when I get to my room.

6514 will be my cabin the end of Feb. and my kids and MIL have 6510. I actually like this set up better than the ones on deck 5. I really do like my split bath and I like the spaciousness the room looks like it has. I personally do not mind the desk in front of the windows a little (but I normally cruise on inside so any window is better than nothing) That is one thing I like about Disney, there seems to be things for everyone as everyone likes different things!! For me the pole is just one more place I can put magnets on!!!!

For our March cruise we move to a one bedroom suite and it will be interesting to compare the feel of these rooms to the one bedroom . . . (minus the concierge perks)

While I stay in this room I will take lots of pictures from every angle! I am still interested to know what is in the "dead" space on the layout in the middle of these rooms on deck 5 and 6.

I don't think anyone has said for sure yet if 6514/6016 has the split bath, or is a single bath like in 5020/5022.

One thing you'll notice though is that 5020/5022 has one large wall-desk with a TV, and the bedroom area has a 2nd TV (that's what the T.A. said.). While the 6514 has a small desk by the two porthole windows. Is there another desk? Where is the location of the TV? Is it a single or split bath?

This is driving me nuts.

Why would you only take the one picture! Oh my, someone is torturing us on purpose...

:rotfl:

Thanks for posting the picture of 6514. That is the room I have. Interesting the difference between 6514 and the ones on the 5th floor.

There are two possibilities that I can think of.
1) The 8A rooms on Deck 5 (5020/5022/5520/5522) are all like the ones with the diving wall between the bedroom and living room (shown in the 5020/5522 pics), while the 8A rooms on Deck 6 (6016/6514) are open have than the support-beam pillar (shown in the 6514 pic).

or

2) The 8A rooms on the Left side of the ship (5020/5022/6016) have the dividing wall, while the ones on the right side have the pillar (5520/5522/6514).

I think it's probably #1, as that would make more sense...but what doesn't make sense to begin with is why 5020/5022 have the wall and 6514 doesn't. Maybe they do this just to aggravate everyone?

For those interested in 6016, see below. I received this from DCL this morning.

> #6016 does have the split bath.

Thanks for that.
I sent a message to DCL yesterday but haven't heard back yet. I asked if 6016 has the divider wall like 5020/5022 or is open with the support beam like 6514. I also asked if it has a single or split bathroom with round shower.

I wish there were some pictures of 6016. But based on 6514, we can't see if there is any other desk space or the location of the TV. Hopefully someone will eventually post some pics of 6016.

I'd like to hear what you find out about 6016.

It's been 48 hours now and haven't heard back from DCL about my questions for room 6016. I guess if I don't hear from them by Monday I'll send in another request.

Just got this reply about 6016, our room in October.

"Because of guest demand, the room has been taken out of service and will be converted to other uses. Anyone previously booked in the room will be reassigned to the Roy O Disney Suite"

That would be awesome!:rotfl:

That sounds like a joke!
"Because of guest demands"....what demands?
"Anyone previously booked in the room will be reassigned to the Roy O Disney Suite".....LOL. So they are going to take someone and put them in the 2nd best suite for free? What if someone already has the Roy O suite booked? Right.
