Since this is our first time, we aren't going to do Palo or Remy. I'm not sure if my son will want to do the kids' club or not so we don't want to make plans without him. We can always save that for our next cruise! (yes, I have a feeling we will be hooked after this one!)

I'm sure I'll end up buying the Shutters package. I always do the Photopass CD at WDW, so I'll do Shutters, too. Too bad we can't share like you can in the parks! I'ma photo junkie, so I'll NEED the package! Are there ever any discounts on it? Anyone know?

Hi! We just booked on this cruise and woukd love to join this FE group.
I think we're in 6130. There are 5 of us
Me - Anne Marie
Hubby - Jim
Daughter - Lindsay 11
Son - James 9
Son - Matthew 6
Our youngest Matthew has a peanut allergy, but we'll check his stuff and understand if he needs to be left out of a treat or two . We'll accept extra alcohol in exchange for any peanut treats - ha ha ha - just kidding of course!
We did this same cruise itinerary last August and LOVED it! We were part of a great FE group on that cruise - it is so fun to return to the room and find treats!
We live in Northern Virginia outside of Washington DC.
We are so excited! Hope it's not too late to join!

Awesome!! You are in! PLease confirm your cabin number for sure at some point so we know where to deliver your treats! I can handle peanut-free treats. No problem!

I'm excited that we have some boys my DS's age in the group. It would be cool to all meet up at some point. Anyone done that before? What's a good place to meet?

There aren't a ton of us, so I was thinking people could deliver stuff when ever. But, I'm open to other ideas!

I don't "do" facebook so if you all wouldn't mind keeping communications here (at least for essential stuff), i would really appreciate it.

My last FE group didn't meet up any where so I don't have any thoughts on that... but think it'd be fun.

My last group didn't assign dates for delivery and it all worked out great. Some people had gifts which were appropriate for certain days so everyone just decided how many gifts and which days to distribute and it worked out great - although the gifts did tend to be "front loaded" (i.e., none the last day)... so if it works for a couple of us to hold out on a treat or two that would be great...

has anyone heard any buzz on what movies they'll be showing on the ships this summer? is anyone going to see Monsters University on FRIDAY?!?

I'm hoping to catch Monsters U this weekend for sure.

Is anyone going to the parks before or after the cruise? I was thinking of maybe putting some SMK cards in my FE gifts for the kids, but they won't be useful if people aren't going to the parks.

We are doing one night at WDW before the cruise and 5 nights after.

We are doing 2 nights after (Art of Animation).

My hubby and I were doing some investigation. PLANES open in theaters right before the cruise, so that is our family's guess on what movie will be playing.

Keeping the distribution open is fine with me. As we have two rooms we are working on at least 2 gifts for each cabin (one for each room) so I will probably spread them out across days.

For those of you that have cruised before -- what is departure day like? Do people pack up their doors (magnets, FE hangers) the night before or wait until the final morning? What time do most people leave the ship?

We're going to the parks after for a week. I think I read that bags are to be outside the room by 11 pm the night before we dock and you just keep carry on and leave right from breakfast. I guess you could keep the FE and magnets up till that last morning and put it in your carry on bag to go.

We are not doing the parks before or after this time.

Most people clear their doors the last evening... after dinner when they get serious about packing, before the 10ish pm deadline. If you have not cruised before, know that it helps to have a tote/bag you can carry the last morning's stuff (pajamas/toiletries) in... as they'll take all your luggage late the last night before you dock. I wasn't prepared for that the first time.
