Dream 7/5/11 - fish extender list

Had a Fish Extender work day yesterday with my daughter and her friend that is coming with us. I have come to realize that I truly am not gifted in the craft department and my idea is just not working! Good thing I have time to figure out a different way to make our Extenders, but still, I am so ticked that I have no skill at all.

The girls did get their panels done though! And my daughter put her name nad her sister's name on their panels. She forgot that I was just putting initials (since BFF's mom didn't want her daughter's name used). Oh well, my daughters are Alicia (the 20 year old) and Emma (the 16 year old).

If you hear me walking around saying, "Emese" (Eh-meh-sheh), that is my youngest daughter's Hungarian and legal name. I tend to call her that. In America she goes by Emma!

I have more to say, but I am in a rush, so happy crafting to all, and if anyone wants to make me an awesome Fish Extender because you pity me, go for it!

I feel your pain, I too am NOT CRAFTY or a sewer even by hand, SO i ended up ordering mine off ESTY.com (after spending a few weeks and many hours struggling to get one started) , it was $33 with shippping but soo worth it to me. I only needed a 3 pocket though, not sure how many you need. Good luck and sending pixie dust that you can do it!! I did see some that went and bought craft bags and cut off handles and sewed those together, you could still sew the panel onto the front of each bag?

So, does anyone know what day they're distributing FE gifts yet? Just curious as it would be great to get things each day instead of all one day or two, but I know we all will be busy!
My 3 cabins will all be distributing our 3 gifts the first day because all of the gifts are things to be used right away on the cruise or at castaway cay. Just curious if anyone else is planning when to distribute!

I too have something i will try to put in FE on the first night......i might wait till later in the night to ensure everyone has placed there FE out.

I am hoping that my FE will be there. I ordered from Stitches and Bows and she is mailing to the ship. Oi! Worst case you will see a tote bag hanging out there!
I think I might try late at night or in two swoops, we arrive late to the port, we are flying in at 1:30 so Im just not sure how things will pan out

Ours are bagged and tagged and ready set sail. I'm excited to see everyone's creations be it big or small. This has been so much fun and I great way to pass the time until the cruise.

After looking at the 5 night navigators I think we'll skip the show on night one and maybe deliver our gifts then otherwise we'll have to do it on our sea day.

All I have left to do is assemble and tag the bags! I hope everyone likes our gifts...just remember - they come from our hearts! I'm not sure when we distribute them - after looking at the navigators, there are so many things we want to do! I think we will just play it by ear and do it when we have some free time. But knowing DS, he will want to do it ASAP - he is all about surprises and fun!!

aoh man I am getting so excited. Mickey is calling the kids on the 23rd... has anyone ever done one of those character calls? Thats how they will find out, we are going.... any other suggestions?

I had Mickey call DS last year - it was great! He was so cute...talking to Mickey like he could hear him!!!! They will love it!! How about doing a letter from Mickey? Check on the boards...I have seen several.

DH really got into making the FE! He decided what he wanted on his, then DS and I followed his lead. He finished it yesterday except for the names. It came out very vintage looking.

I'm still going back and forth on what gifts I'm making, lol. I promise they will be finished before July 2 when we leave for WDW.

I have everything for the Fish Extender gifts. They are somewhat put together. I just realized I did not completely finish the handmade gift that we are giving out. Oops! Good thing I still have a couple of weeks!

I picked up something for the adults yesterday. Something made in Chicago. Something yummy. Soooo yummy. DH has been told not to touch!

Not sure when we are handing out our gifts. I think we will play it by ear.

Still need to make our FE's. I will concentrate on those next week. This week will be too busy. Yup, so glad we have a couple of more weeks!

Woohoo!!! I'm getting so excited! Our cabin's FE gifts are done, second cabin's are halfway done, and third cabin's are about halfway done too.
Tonight I might use Ellen's awesome map of the cabins and try to plan out our distribution.
Can't wait to see all of your doors and FE's hanging up!

I too have started the gift, need to put the finishing touch on.....
I get so nervous about "making" a gift and hoping everyone likes it.

The days are flying by as we are registering my daughter for college today...I am going to finish all mine up next week.

Cant wait to see all the homemade goodies! YOu have me soo excited!!

I'm going to get to work on mine. LOL, I haven't even started, but I now have a "plan" The worst part has been trying to find a 3 hour window to make a trip to the craft store. We live about 50 minutes from the nearest one, and I need to get there for my last component.

When will everyone be hanging their FE? We may try to get our delivery done between sail away and dinner.
