Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

Hi All,
If you are on the Fish Extender List group #2, would you be so kind as to PM me (if you already haven't done this) what Dinner seating you have; either First Seating or Second. I need this info as part of my FE gift.

Also please update me on stateroom #'s and/or email addresses if I do not have them on the last list I sent out. If you do not have that info yet, do not worry but try to get it from your TA or DCL.

Thanks!
Adam

Since bike rentals say "sold out" for both Castaway Cay days, could anyone tell me if they usually end up renting out extras anyways? I went ahead and got the 2-day "getaway package" which includes the bike rentals, but since I'd rather bring my own snorkel gear anyways I'd hate to be getting the getaway just for the $6 bike rentals(and the floaters/tubes of course but those wouldn't be a big loss for me).

Hello "almandot",

I can't say for sure. Once you board the ship you can enquire at quest services where you can check that out. DCL always has ressie things set aside for people who could not make ressies ahead of time and had to wait to board the ship. We have changed dining ressies once on board. We did once change an excursion also once we boarded. Just remember that if you get the bike rental on it's own when you board and you want to cancel the "2 day get away package" you should cancel it as soon as possible. Cancel too late and you get stuck with the package cost. We also learned that the hard way.
Other than boarding and enquiring, you could wait until you get on Castaway. The same goes with extras usually are available for "walk ons" for a lack of a better term. Just remeber that by then you most likely will get stuck with that package cost because that would be too late for a cancel.

Hello All March 4 Cruisers,

For those who are not aware of it, you can see any DCL ship set sail or return to port via a live web cam. You go to "TwoPalms Cape Canaveral Beach Cam". Once on that you select "Other Cams" and select "jetty". That will take you to that cam by which you can view cruise ships leaving the port or arriving at the port. You can access control of the cam at the bottom right of the screen. Once you click on the time box you will see a time displayed. It will either let you know how many minutes you must wait for control, or it will display a green box of 2 minutes. That is how long you have control of the cam. You want to be on the cam by about 20 minutes after scheduled departure time. Don't worry about having control, whoever has that control usually will focus on the ship as it goes past the jetty, which opens to the ocean. If you are earlybirds, like in the morning and you want to view the ships arriving, just be sure you are on the cam site anywhere from 4am to 4:30am Eastern time. It's neat to see the ships as they arrive when it's dark and they are lite up somewhat.
And yes, you can view the ships in person as they leave, or arrive, when down there waiting for you cruise. I know I will be.

It is a nice feeling being able to be :wave2: to the people who are lined up along the channel and jetty to see the ships leave port. :yay:

Hey, another thought on this just came to mind. If you keep the "2 day getaway package" and use DCL snorkel gear then that means you do not need to pack yours, thus saving space in the suitcases for other "stuff". Maybe a rum cake or two? :confused3

I know and I'm not hung up over having to buy the getaway package. Just exploring the likelihood of extras on the island, since it'd mean an extra 30 bucks for drinks or something =)

I couldn't get that one to work, but I found another one and saw one of the Disney Ship in port.. looks like the Magic or Wonder.

Now that even sounds better. :thumbsup2 We always indulge in a Konk Cooler and later some other staff recommended specialty drink on the island. :thumbsup2 Cheers.

Is anyone thinking or have booked the atlantis aqua adventure?
We have been before and it was so much fun, but it is expensive! So trying to decide if we book that or not?:confused3

We're seriously debating it but yeah it is pricey. I wish we could do the comfort suites route but since there's only 2 of us it would be a little more than just gettng the da passes at atlantis.

I still need some info for a few groups including participants listed as group 9. above. Two other cabins showed interest but did not get back to me due to family health issues. I advised them that I wold leave it up to the group if they decided they could join. I will keep you informed about this.

Please look at your cabin info that I have for you and PM me if you notice any spelling errors, wrong stateroom numbers, etc..

Looking forward to meeting you all! Lastly, I too will put up a dry erase board on my cabin door. Should your cabin number change when you are at the check-in desk please notify me by using my dry erase board. I will be sending you a spreadsheet listing all of the info either today or tomorrow with some other info about FE'ing.

Let the Fish Extending begin!!! :goodvibes

FYI- I posted on the boards about bikes at CC and everyone said that there are plenty of bikes and it should not be a problem to get one even once you get on CC. Hope it's true because that is our plan!!!
