Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

Who's leaving first?
:yay:
Anyone making their way this weekend?
Are we going to have a meet organized before the first people leave?
:grouphug: 3pm, by Vista cafe?

We leave Wednesday. :dance3:

Fish Extender Group #2 List,

Hi All,
I will be emailing everyone an updated spreadsheet to show some cabin manly assigned cabin #'s. Please be on the lookout for it in your email.

Happy sailing!
Adam

I haven't been on here much, but I am getting so excited! My husband and twin DDs (18) will be leaving right after they get out of school on Thursday next week. We are driving and it will take us until Friday to get there. We plan to go to WDW on Saturday :goodvibes

I saw a comment about bikes on CC, this is our 12th Disney Cruise and we have never had problems getting a bike just by going up and renting it on the island. Never made reservations. I am not sure if it is harder now that the ship is larger with more people, but I would bet they have added more bikes.

I just order my Bon Voyage gift for the room (wine and goodies will be waiting for us when we get there). So now we are set! LOL!

We were upgraded to a verandah! Never had one before. We always book a window, so this is exciting.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS ALMOST TIME FOR OUR CRUISE!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

We leave Wednesday. :dance3:

We are leaving on Sunday the 26th .... 2 days from today :yay::dance3::cheer2: for Disney World. Just a few more things to try and shove in our overstuffed luggage and we are flying across the states to warmer weather (hopefully)
I can use WIFI I think from our resort, but if we could get a place and time to meet that would be great

So Fredgirl... 3 pm at the Vista sounds good to me! I wish to say thanks for all your hard work and sharing your organizational skills! :grouphug:

My FE just came in the mail!!! Now I am officially ALL packed!!! Woo-hoo!!! Also interested to know if there is a meet planned.

Is there a Dis meet planned?

Thanks

How does 3pm at Vista cafe sound to everyone else?
Before muster drill?

You don't have to commit to coming!
Just a place to come by if you feel like it or remember! :goodvibes (that will be my problem!)
So agreeing to a time and place does not tie you to the event! :)

Some of us had chatted about the kids/tweens meeting outside the clubs the first night. This might be a better place to just put names to faces for later.

Anyone fancy it?

8 days =D (Nice try Disney trying to cheat the day countdown by a day)

Thanks for the bike info. My friend confirmed the same thing to me and I went ahead and cancelled the getaway package. Packing my snorkel, will rent a bike a la carte, and if I really need a floaty I'll get that too. =P

Just to be clear, our boat's not doing a "formal" night??

Just booked this cruise last night! Switched from an April 25th sailing and now scrambling to get everything ready to leave in 8 DAYS!

So excited though. My first Disney cruise!

Our formal night is called "dress-up night". Means you don't have to pack the tux! :)
We'll be doing cocktail dresses and suits just because we want to! Not much call for cocktail dresses in our little town, especially at this time of year!

This is my first 5 night cruise, but I think they are like the 4 nights and there are not formal nights. The only formal nights I have seen are on the 7 night cruises. But I think they have a night that can be dressier than others. It is rather optional, you will see all variations of dress. Palo and Remys would be dressy though if you go there (but not the long dresses and tux, more a nice evening dress and suit type things).

Just my own personal opinion on the floats, we haven't gotten them in a long time. For one, in March I find the water a little chilly and we don't spend much time in the actual water...more time is spent on the beach (this includes my teenagers). Also when you want to go to lunch it is hard to figure out what to do with the floats. They aren't numbered or anything so you can't which is yours. So they don't really interest me, but a lot of people like them.

Oh and about the snorkeling, we only have done that once but from what I remember it is best to go early. Once a lot of people are there the sand is kicked up a lot and it is hard to see anything. Early in the day the water is much clearer.

One nice thing with this cruise.....we have two stops at CC so whatever doesn't work well the first time, you will know what you want to do the next time :goodvibes I'm so excited to get two stops at CC!!!!

Wow! That's very exciting! Welcome! I love spontaneous trips! We don't get so many of them these days! :)

From your other post I saw you were looking for palo ressies? When I looked earlier this week there was still availability for palo dinner. No brunch though of course! Take a look - you might be lucky! :goodvibes

6 DAYS UNTIL WE PICK UP THE IN-LAWS! They still have no idea about Blue Man Group and US/IOA! Neither does the little one. My dining room is being taken over by half full suitcases of stuff:banana: Now who wants to come finish cleaning and packing for me??? Working 12 hour shifts doesnt leave me much time! SOOo READY FOR THIS WEEK TO BE OVER!!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

As of last night, there were none. But I'll try to see if I can book something when I arrive on the ship! :thumbsup2

Safe travels to Jenene and family who leave tomorrow :goodvibes

And safe travel wishes to you all over this next week, as we all start to depart. :grouphug:

We leave Wednesday and I may not have time to get back here much once the week starts.
We're due a snow storm Wednesday so the drive to Boston could be a slow one. here's hoping the weatherman has it wrong again. ;)

Not much chatter on having a meet.
We'll swing on by the Vista cafe at 3pm anyway and see if anyone's about. I'm pretty shy and probably won't be asking strangers if they're on Disboarder. I'll talk loudly though, so if you hear a family of mixed british/canadian accents, it's us! I'll be counting on you to come say hello! :flower3:

Have a safe journey everyone, and hope to bump into some of you soon!,
Anita, Ben, Esme & Alice

We just got back from a hockey tournement with our 15 y.o son, now we need to get this thing serious!!!!!
Leaving wednesday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Well so much for arriving early. Gotta work until 1 on Sunday and then burn rubber to the port, and then work the day we disembark too :rotfl: :confused3

Trying to get two teenage girls to get organized is like trying to herd cats!

Oh well....did get some things ready today, I have three more days before we leave to figure things out.

I am already considering booking another cruise for next year. I see the Disney Wonder will be sailing on Saturday March 2nd out of Miami (our spring break week). I miss the Wonder and Magic so much! I may just have to book it!

Oh my gosh am I excited that I found this site!!

This is our first cruise and I'm nervous to be honest! Your posts are really making me excited though! I'm so glad I found this site.

We are going with our 3 kids....11, 8 and 4.

So excited!!!

I am SO brand new to this. First time on this board, my first cruise, etc. etc. What is this fish group?
