Can someone instruct me on how to establish a countdown ticker? I put one together but can not get it to show as a signature when I post. It's been awhile.

Hi Everyone,
Inspired by another thread I made a countdown poster today to give the kids at Christmas. I'm going to print as a photo I think and use a marker to cross the days off. Very easy.With thanks to a pic from milliepie's freeshare :good vibes
Feel free to use it or have fun making your own! We leave on Feb 29th, so ours finishes there, but if you want this one, with more dates, let me know and I'll change it for you.

Hmm not very tech savvy. I think I went here for mine, if I'm allowed to post. http://www.**************/
Then copy the IMG code and paste that into your signature I think.

OK. It looks like you've copied that HTML code, which does say it's for websites. I think i've used the next one down "PseudoHTML, UBBCode™ or BBCode ". It says for message boards and the code looks the same as the one in my ticker. Give that a try :good vibes

yep, that's the one. Just changed it in "edit my signature".


Oh, by the way, this is in the distickers you used first
Just checked it on mickeypath too and it's called the same thing.

I am really starting to get excited! I can't wait for the new year so I can start getting into full planning mode!
And as newbies we can at last check-in this week! That's pretty exciting too!

Good luck on the check-in. Hope you get what you want. Remember, even if you don't there is still a chance when you board the ship. They always hold open spots for those who could not check-in on-line or who need to change something.
By the way, earlier on this thread you said you are from New Brunswick. Lynn and I, and another couple, will be up your way, sort of, Halifax, when we cruise RCCL in October of 2012. This will be the couple's first cruise. What is the weather, temps, like then. We cruise near the beginning of October. I think October 6 for a week.

October should still be nice. September can still be quite warm here in NB, late teens to 20'c. The bonus of it getting cooler is the trees start to turn and you have the beautiful fall colours! Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Did our online registration yesterday! Yea! it is the little things that make me smile!

Didn't do any port excursions , just reserved tubes and bikes at cc. We are so excited! And thankful for this website where others can do the dance of joy with us.

It's so exciting isn't it. You cruising pros must find newbies like me amusing!
I got up at 4am hoping to get as early a time as possible. Knowing so many other people already had the chance to check-in we thought we'd end up with a 3pm port arrival time. We weren't bothered about being there early, but in time for lunch was our hope!
But 11am was still available! Guess being on these boards gets you a little crazy over these things!

Congratulations you all on your ressies. It does pay to be awake at an ungodly hour. Now it's just a matter of counting down, completing the on-line check-in if not done so, and receiving a packet from DCL that contains the cruise information that pertains to each of us.

Another milestone, Christmas , has past on our way to that day we board the Dream. The next milestone is the New Year. That one is especially important because it means we can finally say, "See you this year.".
