dreaded email about passports issues

today I get the email stating theres an issue with our passports from when I did on line check in
it says "full documation not visiable in photo

what exactly are they looking for--from what I could tell everything they would need to know you can see

I took the pic of the signature page and the photo page thats below it

here I was so worried that the selfies wouldnt go through but here its the passports
I know theres the pages on how to do the check in but I really dont want to go through all those

I just scanned quickly the sticky on line check in and some wrote to say they sent in pic of just the photo page and not the signature page
I sent both
wonder now if thats whats holding it up
any thought

Sounds like your photo was missing everything they needed. No problem, though.

You don’t need the signature page. Just the one below it - with name, photo, issue & expiration dates - all the way to the bottom with the string of numbers and digits.

I had the same issue on one passport image, resubmmitted the same photo of the full passport page but rotated it 90 degrees so they could see the outline. That worked and I got a reply within a couple of hours

I just saw the pic in icloud
unfortunatly the pics are sideways
someone mentioned that they had to rotate the pic
will a rotate button show up when I try to upload these new pics

Great news. I got the finalized email. We’re good to go. Coming fast. Oh and that was the issue with the passports was I had the signature page along with the photo. I’ll have to remember that for next time. Thanks for the help

I sort of doubt a real person looks at this stuff at the start. I think there’s a program that has some parameters and kicks it back if there’s a slight irregularity. I had a really hard time with a headshot that was perfect. Finally did a screen cap of a photo with a lot of background stuff and IT went through. Makes no sense.

Got the same email today, but I knew I would. I realized when I submitted my daughter's passport photo, that when I turned it it cut off the bottom of the picture so I had to adjust it. I realized I hadn't done that on mine, but it wouldn't let me go back and fix it once I'd submitted it.

I had the same issue. But it was the whole passport and nothing was wrong.. So I put it on a piece of white paper and wrote the word "Edge" on all 4 sides and uploaded that picture. Then it finally was approved.

FYI for the future, you can search threads. So if you don't want to comb through pages of posts and know you're looking for something specific (like "passport") you can just type that/those word(s) into the search bar in the upper right and then select "this thread" (it defaults to "everywhere" so you'll have to change it). I know you got your issue resolved so just a heads up if you need it in the future.

I had an issue on my upcoming cruise on sept 2nd. My fault totally. I uploaded my passport and selfie under husband and my unloads under his account. Hey, it was midnight and I had just gotten off the fantasy that morning and drove 5 hours to HH for the night.

I just received the same dreaded email. I followed the directions to the T and uploaded our passports and photos as directed 3 weeks ago.
I just retook photos of passports and photos and uploaded. Fingerscrossed.

can I ask what happens if you get to the port and isn't not approved?
I don't cruise for about 20 days but it's still not approved and next week I'm leaving for the USA so won't be at home - I will have our documents with us but would rather it's approved before leaving.

Just wondering what happens if you get there and you're not approved

They will take care of it during check in at the port. Regardless of your documents being approved pre-cruise, you are still required to have them in hand when you check in at the port.

I think there’s some kind of system issue or someone isn’t checking properly and just selecting ‘full documentation not visible’ because I‘m reading more & more people having the issue, I even had the same trouble last week but with our ESTA upload part rather than passport, using the exact same screenshots I’ve used for the last 4 cruises with no issues, all 4 declined yet I re uploaded the exact same images and they were accepted no problems the next day

Also, don't fret that it hasn't been approved yet. I've had it where it was only a week out from sailing that we finally got our approval.

Once again I retook the passport photos and our selfie photos Waited 24 hours Finally, an email.....Got the ok for me and ok for DH passport, rejected the DH photo which I re-took and sent twice already. This is nerve wracking. The photo is exactly as they have requested.

Is the photo dark? I know sometimes if the lighting in the photo is too dark they'll reject it.
