Dr. Jones and the Spitting Camel - Link to Alaska Cruise TR 9/18

I actually just meant the "regular" photopass spots throughout the park...:upsidedow

I think there is a photopass photographer inside the Mexico pavilion now... at least there was in Oct.

I'd say for all the great shots you got, the shoot is quite a phenomenal deal! And I agree, the WL really lends itself well to pretty pictures and a family photo session!

Come March- I do hope you can make it then!!- we can get a side-by-side and see just who looks like what. ;)

Yes, for the number and quality, plus the CD and prints, I thought it was a great deal. If you got only 40...and only liked a couple, not so much. Are there dates for March yet? I hadn't seen any, just march and April being tossed out. Portland is a lot more doable for a day trip for me but let me know how things shake out.

Fabulous photos, Cynthia! How wonderful to have the shots of the family together, and individually. Although it has already been a hectic day for you, and I suspect will continue to be, what great timing to schedule this.

Get some food, already!!!

The packing and bell services part was hectic, the rest not so much. Ah...food. I admit I was mildy annoyed they hadn't gotten anything, they'd had all morning to go down and get some food but had slept and packed instead. So to be honest I wasn't ALL that sympathetic. I typically don't eat breakfast and instead am a 2 meal a day person on a pretty regular basis, without snacking. So while I too was hungry, it wasn't out of my norm at that moment.

That would be so much fun! I wonder if they would take pictures of us with margarita in our hands ;)

:rotfl: If nothing else I'm sure we can get the bartender or a server at the Ditch to do it!

There is one floating at the BC outside sometimes and occasionally at SAB. I've never seen them at SAB but know they are there at times.

Wow what a load of photos! I am glad to hear what that whole experience is like. You all did a nice job sticking it out, there are some gems for sure! I will take your advice, should we ever do that, and pay attention to the time slot! I ca imagine it was hot. Glad everyone kept their cool! :cool2:

Looking forward to lunch!

No, I was just starting to think about things this week, and as busy as we all are, it's probably good to start thinking about it sooner than later. I know your trip is in March, but maybe we can work around that. So, you'd rather do a day trip to Portland than come down to Salem for a weekend? Either is fine, others can come here and stay, and we coudl all drive up there. Let's start thinking about it, and get a date on calendar before march fills up.

yes, a different time of year would be ideal but I didn't really have that option. :rotfl:

It's a happy song, I have to admit, it makes me smile when I hear it in my mind. And Bollywood dancing is a great workout!

I'm thinking a before and after margarita pic would be good. LOL! Or better yet....PP pics as we drink around the world. We need a margarita one, a slushie one...what else?

Ah, I see. My trip is actually end of April, early May. It's not that I don't want to come down for a weekend (of course) it's the getting away for more than a day that's problematic between kids events, my job and all that rot. Not impossible, just far more difficult and I'm not sure what other folks schedules are like for that much time. So it just kind of depends on when and what we are looking at. And if the train goes to Salem. :rotfl:

Great session:goodvibes

By your description of the photographer, she sounds like the same one that we had back in August and thought she was wonderful as well.

Looking forward to more

Where did you have your session? It was so funny to see her later at the BC desk. She was fabulous.

i was going to ask if you were going to share some photos, but i see you posted a couple for us to look at.

thanks i thought they were all really good and a great idea...you get better shots than youwould in a studio somewhere, and looks like a better outcome on them as well.

:thumbsup2

I'm really impressed with your photo session experience, and I think you got some great (and some funny ;)) photos of your family.

It's definitely something I'd consider in the future, given how great your experience was. Thanks for sharing it with us!:thumbsup2

We had ours done at the Poly, and we're so happy with how they turned out, she did a fantastic job:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: And that, my dear friends, is exactly what I plan on doing in Mexico!

I think it is a collective plan....I can't wait!!!

Some really funny ones! I can't believe what she pulled off in 20 minutes in the sweltering heat!

I believe that same long-haired brunette is who we had! She was fantastic! I cannot remember her name either though...but Henry loved her. :goodvibes

GREAT pictures!! And I agree with you-totally worth the bucks for what you get!! :thumbsup2

ETA: The comment about the Bollywood movie had me ROLLING! I would never had thought that, but she's right! Oh too funny!

Love all the pictures! What a nice variety of poses and locations! You have really given me something to think about for the May trip. It has been years since we had family pictures done -- the last ones, I think, were almost ten years ago. Yikes! I tried to book the Roots for this trip, but they are going to be out of town, so I may do the Disney photographers instead. Thanks for all the information on it! :goodvibes

Have we seen those yet on the TR? I don't remember them... but I was MIA for a while. I thought I was caught up. She was really good! I'd read such mixed reviews about the experience I was hesitant and I'm so glad we did it!

I would never have thought of that either but it was a great comment! Though did make me take down the picture as a profile on. :rotfl:

Ah, Roots would be incredible! Although I'd imagine more money and time. this was amazingly painless, far easier than our last family photo shoot (on which there wasn't a single solo shot anyway!). You could even do it at the GF. Just sayin'....

Great photo session Cynthia !!My favorites were the Waterfall ones !!!

Thanks Rosie! We got the family one of that one in an 8x10 and it's framed and hanging on the wall!

Wow, that sounds like a great value! I really love the family shots in front of the waterfall. The Wilderness Lodge has no shortage of great scenery. The Jai Ho shots of you and Jeff are just awesome!

Your commentary about the pics cracks me up. Reminded me of a hilarious book I got for Christmas called "Awkward Family Photos." Not that any of YOURs would be considered awkward, but its funny how we pick apart our own photos. Next time you are at a bookstore check it out, and be prepared for some belly laughs.:goodvibes
