Does anyone have a preference over the Downtown Disney resort SSR versus the Epcot resort BWV? Thanks

You can't put a price on being able to stroll the BW at night, or walk home from EPCOT or DHS after the fire works with out having to take the bus. Or just the atmosphere at night. Tons of restaurants walking distance away
Epcot resorts

We absolutely love the Epcot resorts. It's the location, really. Being able to walk to and from Epcot & DHS instead of taking the busses is awesome! The boat transportation is nice and relaxing, too.

Especially in the evenings, it's a great location. From strolling along the BW, to walking around WD and watching Illuminations, then "escaping" by the uncrowded back exit! The Epcot resorts are just in a great location. I would much rather stay there than near DTD.:)

To myself its like staying in a park at the epcot resorts. One word to describe my preference for staying in a epcot resort is convenience, convenience, convenience, you just can't beat being able to walk or take a boat to two parks, some of the best restaurants, entertainment and overall relaxed atmosphere are near the location of these resorts. Beach or Yacht club are my peronal favorites because of storm along bay, and thier multi acre pool. I've stayed the royal plaza and double tree guest suites and have to say, even though I could walk to DTD . It didn't have the draw of the parks, or that relaxed atmosphere of the BC. You really feel like your on vacation when your staying where every thing is at your fingertips, and yet still feeling your set apart from the chaos of the crowds. To me it's worth every penny to stay there. Hope you make the right decision for your self.

Good Luck:thumbsup2

We love the Epcot resorts (we stay at the BCV.) Being able to walk to/from Epcot and DHS is a real bonus, plus there are lots of food choices within walking distance.

Sounds like Epcot resorts are the WTG. I had a feeling...

We love the Epcot resorts as well. Our favorite is Y&BC and BCV, but we also love the BW and even like the Swan and Dolphin a lot. I would even stay at Swan and Dolphin over SS purely for location. It is such a magical location. Walking distance to two parks, being situated on a lake with a Boardwalk. Stormalong Bay is awesome! The dining options in this location are endless. I can't say enough about why I love this area so much. It is just beautiful!

Both are woderful resorts and are in great locations BUT it depends on what type of family you are.

My family prefers SSR. BWV is a really nice resort but besides the pools everyone else to do costs money. And its nice to be close to DHS and EPCOT but if your only going to spend one day at each park then it only comes in handy for two days. The resort is also very crowded with people from other resorts because of the restaurants and other things.

SSR is a very nice resort with a large layout. I also like how the entrance to the rooms are outside so you dont have to go through hallways. The problem with hallways IMO is there not very quite. SSR also has a lot of free things going on for families and is walking distance away from DTD. Its wonderful to stroll through the stores in DTD and it also offers a wide varity of dinning options. The resort itself never gets really crowded with people not staying there. The only problem with SSR is its far from the parks.

Thats just my own opinions, you might think that BWV is better for you
