Downtown Orlando Hotels

We are considering Leu Gardens as a wedding venue for our wedding this December and I understand from others its in the Downtown Orlando area.

Does anyone know of any nice hotels in this area please.

I would call the gardens 407-246-2620

they are in downtown Orlando (1920 North Forest Avenue) - not really near WDW or SW or IOA/US.

I4 - exit 85 - to Princeton Ave, south on Mills Ave,then .5 mile east Virginia Dr.

there is a Comfort Suites Downtown - I4 exit 85 - 2416 N Orange Avenue

there are several at exit 84 - Best Western Orlando West, Holiday Inn Orlando Downtown, Orlando Marriott Downtown, Travelodge Colonial Plaza.

Thanks for that, we are actually going to visit them on the 8th March on our next trip but just wanted to get ahead a little so that i am prepared.

Will have a look into the ones you suggested and also give them a call to see what they suggest.

if you want a garden wedding - Cypress Garden is surpose to reopen shortly - this would be a great place. It will reopen (like Silver Springs) as a state park.

It was Florida's first theme park - so there are several hotels close by.

Leu Gardens is really beautiful. As for downtown hotels, don't forget the Westin Grand Bohemian...it's a little on the pricey side, but it's a great hotel, one of the city's best. Very chic.

I think there's a smallish bed-and-breakfast type place in Thorton Park as well. That might be worth checking in to.

Another note, Leu Gardens isn't located in what I would consider downtown proper. It's really close to Winter Park, and a hotel there would probably be about the same distance to the gardens.
