Downtown DoubleTree

After many months of missing Disney we've decided to go back next summer!!!

We're spending a week at the Ginn Reunion Resort and a week at the DoubleTree in downtown Disney. I know the DoubleTree doesn't even compare to the Ginn, but I don't see any reviews here about this hotel. Reviews at Tripadvisor are good but I'd like to hear from the folks around here. Has anyone been there recently?

We spent one night there in August. We've been several times before. I love the Doubletree. Nice comfy beds and large rooms. The room was clean and quiet and I got a great deal on Mousesavers. What more could you ask for? We spent the rest of that week at the ASMusic, which was fun, but I was missing those super comfy beds at the Doubletree.

We were there in October for 3 days/2 nights. It was our first time and we really liked it.

The beds are very comfy, the room size is a definite plus for families and the personnel that work there were all wonderful to us. DH and DS used the transportation and were happy with it. They also had the breakfast buffet both mornings and said it was good. (DD and I don't get up as early as they do!)

Plus, our kids loved the warm cookies at check-in!

I'm soooo glad to hear that the transportation to the parks was good! We'd read that the DTD hotel buses can be very long getting to the parks and don't run as often.

Do you know if parking is free at the DoubleTree?

Parking is free.

We're DVC members, but always stay here for a few days on either end of the trip.

We have 2 small boys and we LOVE the extra room. Kids love the pool as well.

As the others mentioned, the beds are great.
