Your view would be appreciated from anyone who has stayed at any of the following resorts :

Grosvenor Resort

Courtyard by Marriott now Holiday Inn

Doubletree Suites

or just a little more on the outskirts:

Buena Vista Suites

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott in August last year.

The room was large (slept five comfortably), clean and well furnished.

We only used the restaurant for breakfast buffet which was excellent although at $7.99 rather pricier than others such as Ponderosa etc.

We did not drive so used the bus service to the parks which was not as good as the disney resort transport but we were prepared for that and were quite satisfied with the service.

The service from the staff was excellent and very prompt at all times.

The management held a happy hour from 5-6 each evening with free snacks,, beer and soda.

Just a ten minute walk to DTD.

We stayed at the Grosvenor our very first trip as a family to Orlando. I thought it was fine, nice couple of pools, kids play area and the character breakfast was cool with Pluto and Goofy.
We were in a "wing" room which, to be honest, 5 years ago could have done with a refurb. The tower rooms, so I understand, are better.

It has an 24hr snacky place and little store, Disney gift shop and we never had a problem with the parking. It's in a great location for walking to DTD.

We stayed in the Courtyard LBV on our first trip to Orlando in 1995, but I'm not sure if this is the one which is now HI (there seem to be several!). 'Ours' was the one with the tower with red roofs, and has a fantastic 14 storey atrium with glass elevators.

We really enjoyed our stay here and made full use of the transport to WDW and the restaurant. If we hadn't been persuaded to try staying on-site the next trip, we'd definitely have gone back to the Courtyard.
