It would actually be faster to drive from downtown disney to the parks. To get to a park on the disney buses you would have to get on a bus to a resort, get off the bus, get on another bus to a park. That could take an hour or more, depending on how busy it is at the time.
WDW stopped the buses that used to go from the parks to DTD just for this reason. People were parking at DTD to avoid the parking fees and people who wanted to actually shop at DTD were having trouble finding parking spaces. To discourage it, Disney stopped the buses from DTD to the parks. Also buses from resorts to DTD don't start until alot later, so it would be almost impossible to get to the parks for park openings. You'd be stuck at the DTD bus stop waiting for the resort buses to start showing up.
DTD is under construction, and by all accounts, the parking situation is awful. Not to mention, the buses to and from DTD are the worst of all the transportation options at WDW. The waits are pretty extreme, and it takes forever to get anywhere. You will also probably be standing as the buses are full.
Doing this to save the $15 (or whatever the parking fee is) would be a huge mistake.
Bus service to/ from DTD is notoriously bad. I've had many trips take over an hour then you'd have to catch a bus at the resort to the park. After 30+ trips I rented a car for the first time in over 10 years and loved how easy it was to get around by car.
I think the buses from DTD to the resorts don't startrunning until 9 or 9:30 am. By the time OP gets on one, then takes a resort bus to one of the parks, it'll be late in the morning to the park front gate.
Basically, a bus from DTD to anywhere does not save you time over any other transportation method. In my experience the buses in and out of DTD are a nightmare. You are better off hoping in a canoe and paddling to China...
