Downtown Disney - My Little Ponies

The ponys are not at the Disney store they are in Once Upon a Toy. It is another large store downtown disney.

Here are some pics of the ones we brouht home. We have so much more just couldn't get here to let me take pics of them. She gets scared when she sees me taking pics of her toys. She thinks I am trying to sell them!

You get every princess outfit and then some!

omg... My neice will love getting all that stuff for her ponies.

Do they have any WDW specific ponies?

my DD's are going to die and go to heaven when they see this place!

HA HA!! Last year my twenty-something DD and I spent SO much time looking at all the cool My Little Pony stuff! She was getting really nostalgic because that was her must favorite toy when she was little.
I bet if she still had all her old Ponies they would be worth something on eBay right now! (I did get quite a bit on eBay for her old Strawberry Shortcake lunch box!)

It really is cool! Last year my daughter and I spent over an hour there. I had her put everything she wanted into the seat of the stroller. Once she had put everything in there we started stuffing. There was only one thing that wouldn't fit. It was a popcorn cart, that thing would have taken up half the box.

We were able to stuff... one of the big tea cups, a bed, a mirror, over 30 crowns, over 20 hats, tons of shoes, about 25 outfits, around 20 hair accessories, tons of necklaces, and at least one of each plastic accessories like buckets, topiaries, brushes, and Mrs. Potts.

If you take the time to really arrange stuff you can really fit a TON of stuff in there!

I just wanted to give everyone a warning about buying the ponies at the gift shop inMK in toontown. My dd had her heart set on getting this. We did not have time to go to World of DIsney. In this gift shop, they had very little for the ponies. Just a few outfits that look like a small piece of satin, a bed, Mrs. Potts and teacup, a brush, a fake plant. Really really stupid stuff for $20. Do not go there. I was forced to buy her the stuff. Very disappointing b/c 2 years ago they had more. I'm so jelous hearing what everyone else got- shoes, tiaras!

I'm just now seeing this post and LOVING it! My girls will go NUTS!!!!! So the best (only??) Place is WOrld of Disney, right??? Or Once Upon a Toy? I'm confused! Both are in DTD right?

Any more pix of Pony Stuff? My 3 yr old is enjoying seeing the pix of all the princess ponys!!!

THANKS!!! :wizard: :lovestruc :wizard:

Holy cow. My 7 yr old will love this. I will definitely use her ponies she has already though. We have enough of those. But all the accessories. too cute!!! I don't remember this in 07 when we went and we were in that store like 4 times.

I don't have pics, but I wanted to let Picabo know that the larger My Little Pony "station" is in the back of Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney. There is a smaller MLP place in the Judges Tent in Toontown at Magic Kingdom, but they don't have nearly as much stuff.

Also, the box does not need to close and stay - as long as the CM can see that the top of the box will touch, they'll let it slide. You can REALLY stuff alot in there! When we went last summer, they had things for all the princesses, Mary Poppins, Minnie Mouse and Tinkerbelle, plus Disney accessories (like a teacup and a mickey on a stick).

Have fun!

Thinking of doing this for DD 21 months, who will not be joining us on our trip. She may be young for the accessories though.
Want to spend lots of quality time with DS 4 before he starts kindergarten in the fall.

Last year, my then 4 year old daughter saved up her money so she could do this. My Mom, Dad, husband, son, daughters and I all had fun stuffing that box as FULL as possible!!! Lydia plays with it all the time! They have Mickey ears for the Ponies, which I thought was really cute!!! She has saved her money up again and plans to get another box. We are also going to do the Mr. Potato Head one too.

My nephews (along with their Dad) had a blast filling up their Mr. Potato Head box 2 weeks ago. That's all they play with now. They just got all the fun stuff like the Mickey ice cream bar that looks like someone took a bite of the ear. They had plenty of potato heads and other veggies that I bought them a couple years ago, so they were able to fill up their box with everything else. I believe they got it on sale for like $13 that day. I'm thinking about doing this with my son too.

Are these for the full sized ponies or the smaller ponyville ones? Hoping for the full sized ones because it's getting harder to find things that fit them.

I was happy to find this thread. My oldest LOVES ponies! We will definitely doing this when we to Disney.

Okay good I had the same question. My dd has 3 different sizes of ponies:

*these were not bought at Disney World*
My other question is if the stuff is plastic like the extras in the picture. Thanks

The stuff fits the full size Ponies. I can take a picture of some of the stuff and post it(unless someone else does first) Some items are plastic, some are fabric/cloth.

My daughters (7,5,and 3) love ponies and they went nuts seeing the awesome pictures!!! We are definitly going to do this! Thanks for sharing :)

shopgirl - THANKS for posting those pix! That's awsome! I've heard some mention that it's hard to weed through the bins to get the parts you want but in your pic it looks like they are all separated pretty darn good. Was it difficult to find the things that go together?? I cannot tell you how happy I was to see your pix! THANKS so much! :lovestruc

Thanks for that great info!!! I'll plan to just do it at Once Upon a Toy to make sure we have the BEST selection!

There you go!!

Ahhh, ah now! That doesn't mean we dn't want to see your pix too! I would LOVE to see more!

OK so in terms of saying it fits the full size Pony....we are "new" to MLP as my girl just turned 3 recently and I didn't want her having the small parts before now. So when we go to Target or Toys R Us, it seems most of the ones that I would consider "full size" are in a package by itself, maybe with a brush, and run about $6-7. Is this the right one? Looks like the largest Pony in the picture above that someone posted with the 3 diff sizes. Just want to make sure we have the correct ponies to go with the fun accessories!

I showed my daughter the pix, and now she's flipping out. Unfortunately we aren't going until next year. I'm not sure if she'll last that long!
