This is my first solo trip. I think I am leaning towards a Downtown Disney hotel. Do all the hotels in that area have shuttles? I might try Priceline but was concerned that if I got a hotel a little further away would it have a shuttle. Pop Century is certainly inexpensive and onsite but it isn't near anything and the Downtown area has lots to do. Any feedback from experienced travelers? Thanks.

The DTD hotels do have their own shuttle service shared by all of them. The downside is they go to the Charter lots and not the main lots. And nowhere near as often as the Disney buses.

Also, with the exception of the DTD Hilton, none of them participate in EMH. Also they are all considered "off-site" for sending stuff to the rooms, dining plan, room charges, etc.

We stayed onsite at POFQ which is near DD this past Thanksgiving and we really liked it. We had the boat to DD and the bus system was wonderful to and from the parks. I would recommend staying there if you can.

Thanks. I have decided to stay at the French Quarter. I am not going alone any longer. Some extended family found out and now they are coming with me!
