Downtown Disney for New Year's Eve??

We are contemplating doing the Cirque show on New Year's Eve.
Anyone know if anything is going on in DD on New Year's Eve that would be as good as spending that night in one of the parks?

Our other choice is to spend New Year's Eve in Epcot. We already have a reservation at Rose & Crown(?) in England for 7:30 PM that night?

Any thoughts or pros/cons on either place for New Year's Eve?

I am looking for suggestions for NYE also as I think the parks will be too busy. Does anyone know if things are happening in the various Resorts or if not, how do I find out?

As far as I know there is nothing going on at Downtown Disney. Pleasure Island has a special ticket event with Blondie. The parks are busy (MK is the worst) but Epcot is really not that bad and has a great party atmosphere.
