Downgrading Disney Visa?

I'd like to downgrade my Disney Visa to the no fee version, but I'm concerned that I might lose my accrued reward dollars, because I read in the terms and conditions that you lose them if you close your account, even if they're already put onto the reward card. Has anyone downgraded and not lost their reward dollars?

I was concerned about this also when I downgraded. What I wound up doing was transferring my points to the rewards card then buying a Disney Gift Card with the Rewards Card. The gift card never expires so you don't have to worry about losing anything. You might have to spend a bit of actual $$ to get the Gift Card to the amount you want, for example if your rewards are only 45.95 and you want a 50.00 gc. But I figured spending a little was better than losing the points.

On a side note, switching to the free version was so easy. I did it all through my online message center, and they were great about it, no pressure to try to keep the annual fee version or anything.

I did the same. got an offer for a $200 GC for the Premiere Card, kept if for a year, have a GC with all the rewards I earned waiting for our next trip. I have had the regular DVisa for years and kept that one.

I currently have the premier card and am thinking about switching back to the Disney visa with no annual fee as I mostly use my SW visa. Can you tell me how to switch back using the chase website. Thank you

After you login, go to the message center and send a message requesting the change. They confirmed that is what I was requesting, I confirmed and done. They even refunded my annual fee which had posted the day before (my fault.. I procrastinated in requesting so they criss-crossed). The reply was not immediate, I think it was there the next morning.
